Perfect night out! - Edit
Everything from the cocktails to the orange chocolate cake dessert was perfect. Even my non-vegan father-in-law liked it, and that is saying a lot! We also appreciated the atmosphere - it was busy (but not crazy busy) on a Friday night, and the decor made it feel a little fancier than most vegan restaurants.

Good Food and Vibe - Edit
The Coronado has piqued my curiosity ever since an online review jokingly accused it of being a “witch coven.” And the owner responded with commemorative t-shirts. 😂
Read moreI finally visited today since I was in the area, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, the space is cute, and the menu is solid. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were good, though I’d love to try something different next time.
If this is what “witch covens” are like, I’m in. 🖤✨🔮

Great vegan brunch spot ☀️ - Edit
The food here was pretty solid! We had the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito and a burger — both were flavorful and filling. There’s also an attached coffee shop owned by the same owner where we tried a few vegan desserts and some coffee that were really good too.

Cool Vibe. Great food 🙌 - Edit
What a cool place! This place has changed since the time The Coronado use to be right on 7th Street. The vibe and the food both.
Read moreThe first time recently at the newer location (which has been there since 2021 I believe) I had the Coronado Burrito! Excellent and has soft potatoes in the burrito! Very unique and tasty!
The second time I had the Black Seed burger- also very good. The fries however were oversalted and dried out.
(If you get the burger, dont choose fries as the side. )
Dessert: Orange Choc Cake!
Excellent
Pros: The Vibe, The Burritos, All vegan and made there
Cons: French Fries too salty and dry

Eh - a lot to be desired - Edit
The reviews here were great! I was super excited to give this place a go after here so many great things. My food looked absolutely nothing like the photos I found online, which I then realized were all from the restaurant rather than clients (weird). Food wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Pretty standard place. 3/5 for me.

Great Food Good Vibes - Edit
I’m so glad I finally got to try this place! The drinks are delicious, and the food is so, so good. We got the elote and fried guacamole to start; I love elote so much and will always order it when there’s a vegan version available. It was great! I wish we got more, honestly.
Read moreWe also got the cauliflower tacos and potato tacos. Between the two, the cauliflower tacos had the better fillings, but the potato tacos had the better crunch/texture. Both were delicious!
The cocktails were perfectly mixed and were not too sweet or too strong.
I’m so glad I finally got to try this place and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

I've been to the Coronado a few times and have enjoyed every meal. I will say, I do miss the street corn that they took off the menu a few years ago.

Phoenix fave 👍 - Edit
The Coronado offers delicious cooked-from-scratch food in an inviting environment with warm and friendly service. We especially appreciate that they make their own plant proteins rather than using processed faux meats. The chilaquiles are hearty and tasty. Honestly, everything is uncommonly good.
Read moreThere’s both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking (including the overflow lot across the street).
Don’t miss their sister cafe just next-door, Dark Hall.
Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Good for a slightly upscale meal - Edit
All the food looks like it could be a menu picture! Lots of variety and there was enough stuff that I could take work colleagues here without them balking at a vegan restaurant. I had the chimichanga and it came with a large side of beans so the meal ended up being very filling.

We ordered the Blackseed burger and Flautas. Best vegan food we have had while visiting Phoenix. Still have more restaurants to try, but this is a gem.

Rough Go, Esp for GF - Edit
Made a 1pm reservation New Years Day. They said it would be a 45min wait. So, don’t count on your reservation. It was a total communication challenge overall, as there was a table open, then two, then three. We finally just sat ourselves.
Read moreFrom there things looked up as our server Emily was bubbly & on her game. I’d asked another staff what on the menu was GF, but Emily gave an entirely different answer & seemed very familiar with the particulars of the menu.
Unfortunately, many things were 86ed, but I was able to get the Harvest Bowl with tofu scramble instead of mushrooms. The scramble was great, so wish it hadn’t been sold out as a main since the rest of the bowl I could easily have made myself.
Also, a bit disappointing that it took 45 mins to arrive. Especially after we were told, “your food’s coming right up” and then it was another half hour. Emily kindly gave us chips and salsa to tide us over.
All in all, not the best experience. Hardly anything gluten free, and not worth the hassle. But, appreciate their being open on a holiday as not many places were.
Pros: Outdoor seating, Private parking lot
Cons: Limited gluten free offerings, Limited parking, Slow

Chimichanga with Quinoa chorizo was fast - Edit
We were visiting PHX and found this cute vegetarian restaurant with excellent cocktails. The chorizo quinoa was a standout in the chimichanga and the Coronado burrito with tofu was mighty tasty too. Give this place a try. Staff was welcoming and super friendly.

We were very hungry when we arrived and left very satisfied! The smashed potatoes tacos were delicious and the Farmyard breakfast were delicious and filling. Slightly more greasy than we typically eat but worth it.

Tasty witchy vegan food - Edit
This was a lovely little place! I got the chilaquiles at the suggestion of my waitress and it was very tasty. Also got the cherry limeade because work is paying. I loved the witchy atmosphere which is not obvious from the website other than the shirt- for example all of the menu placard designs were modified tarot cards. (Mine was VIII/Strength, for which the interpretation is left as an exercise for the reader). Would definitely come back.

Food and Atmosphere are SO good! - Edit
My husband and I have been here a few times and we always LOVE it! The food is incredible for both breakfast and lunch - and whatever you do, start with the Fried Guac; the sauce is to die for! The whole place is super cute/instagramable and the music is a vibe! We just tried the Brunch Wrap - a new menu item and it was delicious!!

Delicious! - Edit
Didn’t get the greatest photo but we both found our meals to be very delicious! Small snafu in the beginning as we were asked to have a seat while a table was cleared, waiting seats you staring directing at people dining about four feet from their table, so that felt awkward and we waited about 15 minutes before someone told us we were expected to have taken the table after it was wiped down. After that bad start the service was friendly and experience positive. Would go back if in the area!

Delicious and creative dishes - Edit
We stopped here for lunch after arriving at the airport in the morning, and were excited and all vegan restaurant and bar that was open early, with all day breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We had the cauliflower tacos (with cauliflower battered with masa— very tasty!), crema, spinach, and pepitas, and the chiliquiles, which were topped with tofu scramble, and a tasty smoky sauce with crema. The house made tortilla chips were delicious and the salsa has kick. The menu also had breakfast items like shortstack, avocado toast, chia bowls, and there are burgers, burritos, chimichanga, and a tasty sounding cake (we were too full). The drink options are extensive. One of our orders took longer due to a glitch with their system, but theh brought over a huge plate of free chips and salsa while we waited. Very courteous waitstaff!
