Delicious Vegan Lunch Options

We were very impressed with The Apple Pie. The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu, and include black bean burgers, falafel wraps, and rolls. We tried all of them and they were very tasty. The apple pie slice was well worth it, especially after a long walk. There is also a bakery at the front, with take away options. All the bread is vegan and the sun dried tomato buns are a must try. You can also get Lebanese rolls there, which are basically vegan sausage rolls. These were great. All in all, the Apple Pie is a must visit for vegans or vegetarians staying or living in Ambleside.

Pros: Friendly staff., Good atmosphere., Many options.

Cons: None.

amazing pie!

first of all:
how cool is it, that the apple pie this place is famous for and named after is vegan?
we stopped here for a quick snack and shared a roll filled with hummus and veggies, which also came with a little side salad. we noted that we'd share the dish so they already cut it in half and served it on two plates for us which i thought was super observant.
after that we had some tea with soy milk and spiced apple pie for me and a vegan chocolate cupcake for my partner.
all of which was super tasty!

Pros: vegan apple pie!, super friendly & considerate staff, quaint little shop

Cons: none

vegan homemade Falafel Burger

vegan homemade Falafel Burger was my vegan option and freshly squeezed orange juice made for a filling and satisfying meal. And most importantly no animal had to be hurt in the process : )
