I came here not long before they were closing, so the options were limited. I had rice with BBQ and stir-fry, and it was really good. The staff were very lovely!

Delicious and tasty - Edit
My daughter told me about this little place in an arcade next to the Royal Hospital. The food is mostly, if not all, vegan and super fresh. There was a choice of Penang Curry, Thai Green Curry, a barbecue tofu and mock pork dish , which I had and was delicious , with a choice of rice or noodles. You can eat in or takeaway and there are 3 sizes of meal. I had small, but it was generous.

Lunchtime Vegan CHOICE!! - Edit
OK - again with the hours.....
Read moreIf you're in the city centre, for lunch time, this place just pumps through the line-up.
Many chefs cooking away to ensure quick yummy food - in the pocket sized takeaway.
You can sit-in, however you need to aim for pre/post lunchtime rush.
This place is to pump out Thai vegan, and I'm a big Thai fan, visiting Thailand constantly, its not a Thai restaurant.
Definitely a staple if you're in need for tasty, reliable, vegan food - and being Thai - super bonus points.
Hobart is lucky for this place :-)
Limited selection from bane-marie, however full of flavour, quick, and literally replaced constantly because the selection is quickly emptied.
Definite winner!
My favourite - but only at lunch hours
Pros: Tasty and delicious, Good value , Quick - and did I say super tasty!!!!

Vegan staple - Edit
Have been here countless times now, absolute must try for any vegan/vegetarian in Hobart, quick and well priced food that is always delicious, sometimes popular enough to form a large line, but the staff are quick and keep it moving.
Read moreLots of corriander used, and if you are terminally fussy about that like me you might have an issue, but I love it anyway
Pros: Quick, Well priced , Good variety
Cons: Not a place to go with a large group

Perfect place for a quick weekday (or Saturday) lunch. Food is always super tasty and staff are super friendly. All food on display is 100% vegan. I’ve been here a few times now and can confirm it is always well worth the visit.

Really good food. Majority of items vegan - Edit
Small shop that’s really busy at lunch time but service is super quick! Medium take-away is 2 x dish options with rice or noodles for $11.80. The majority of items are vegan and are listed on the menu as such. Food is delicious too. Will definitely be going back!

Good little cafe, shame it isn’t 100% vegan, as I usually use the vegan filter. Found it the day i fly out.

Usually a favorite of mine for quick and tasty Asian veggie food. Tried top go yesterday and they had no gf options. If they do have gf it's limited option. They use a lot of mock meat which I don't love and is usually not gf

Simply lovely - Edit
I had a meal at a little vegetarian cafe in quite a picturesque lane called The Bank Arcade in Hobart a few weeks ago and I was very impressed by the aromatic, tasty meal I had. The service was friendly and courteous by the young Thai ladies who staff the place. Since that first visit since moving to Tasmania I have been back numerous times and have become quite addicted to vegetarian Thai food on offer. Simply lovely....you have won me.

Super super delicious!!! And almost exclusively vegan; on very rare occasions they may prepare something with cow’s milk, and even they do so they clearly indicate it.

Bland Westernised Thai Food - Edit
If you love bland westernised Thai food with overcooked veges and dried tofu that tastes like you're chewing on a used dish cloth then this is the place for you!
Read moreI had a really hard time choosing what to have, not because it all looked so good, but because it all looked the same. I didn't want any rice so opted for 2 dishes - the green curry and the rendang curry. I expected it to be served up in something that separated the two, but it was all just plonked in one bowl so the sauces mixed. Before it became one bland coconut milk mess I managed to taste each sauce individually which was when I realise it didn't matter that the sauces were mixing because they were virtually identical (but if I had to choose the Rendang was the better of the two). The veges were overcooked, the curry paste clearly came from a tin (of which they used way to little), the coconut milk was not good (powdered perhaps?). There was a lot of dried tofu in it, but it was like eating a dirty dish sponge. The atmosphere is nice, but the gut ache I had after eating it that continued onto the next day was not pleasant (the coconut milk wasn't good).
When I think of Thai curry I think of the zesty, citrus tones of lemon grass and Kaffir lime with the warmth of ginger and the peppery notes of chilli and coriander root in a mellow coconut sauce with crisp vegetables and fresh tofu. Clearly the people who have given this place a high rating have never eaten real Thai food. If McDonalds made Thai curries this is what it would taste like. Unless, like me you were pressed for time don't eat here, in fact go next door to Woolworths and get a vegan protein bar - it will be more delicious and you won't feel sick afterwards. (I would have rated it half a star, but apparently HC automatically gives 1 star just because it's a vegan/veg cafe, so two stars is as low as you can go.)
Pros: Nice atmosphere.
Cons: Bland and overly fatty., Overcooked veges., It all looks and tastes the same

An ever popular (expect a lineup at lunch time but not a long wait as it's very quick service) lunch spot in Hobart CBD. The best mock meat and tofu dishes in the city with a nice selection of changing dishes daily. The BBQ pork is a must! Seating can be limited due to the popularity of this place so be prepared to grab a takeaway or wait around. The couple of cruddy reviews on here are not at all warranted. Well worth a visit.
