Nothing Special; So-so for Vegans. - Edit
Taylor’s is a small café bar just off Mostyn Street in Llandudno. Its online menus and social media need an update, and the reviews here seem to reflect a different era of Taylor’s. The décor somewhat juxtaposes itself, with on-trend features such as wall art and window displays paired with shabby, untidy-looking tables.
Read moreThe menus in the café don’t appear to match those shown online, and the menu content also seems to have changed. Taylor’s still caters to vegans; however, none of the dishes are labelled as vegan or vegetarian, so reading descriptions carefully and asking staff is essential. I nipped in for breakfast and had the Vegetarian Breakfast, which is actually vegan, with added Avocado. The food was just okay, as was the Oat Cappuccino I had with it.
Looking at the lunch menu, the vegan breakfast appears to be available all day. The Veggie Rice Bowl and the Garlic and Soy Chicken Rice Bowl also seem vegan, as do the Avocado with Balsamic Mixed Leaf Salad and Tomato Sandwiches/Toasties. The Vegetarian Burger may be vegan too, though this isn’t made clear.
Overall, I found my experience to be so-so. The vegan options, labelling, and food quality could all be improved, and the café itself would benefit from a brighter look. There were also no clearly labelled vegan cakes on the counter, which would further enhance Taylor's vegan-friendliness. The two women working were informal but perfectly pleasant. I wouldn’t recommend Taylor’s based on this visit, but I do hope it can return to the standard reflected in its earlier HappyCow reviews.
Pros: Vegan Options, Oat & Almond Milk, Great Location, Nice Staff
Cons: Vegan Options not Labelled, Reduction in Vegan Options

Great cake - Edit
Only had one cake option but it was my favourite, lemon drizzle, and it was good too. Oat and Soya milk options for drinks. Vegan breakfast sounded interesting but we only needed a snack. Have to call back. Lady who served us was lovely. Very homely, comfortable decor.

Tasty breakfast in a friendly cafe - Edit
All the food items on the breakfast were good but it could have been a bit bigger for the price. It was slightly cheaper than the meat breakfast but a lot smaller.

Dog friendly - Edit
We stopped in Llandudno before our trip to Colwyn Bay. We chose this cafe because it let us sit in with our little pup. And we both wanted a coffee too.

The best afternoon tea - Edit
Fabulous, dog friendly, cafe in Llandudno. We recently had an afternoon tea here, it was lovely and brilliant value! You need to book in for the afternoon tea, just so they can prep for it. Also caters for omnis and gluten free
