Absolutely gigantic portions - Edit
Let’s talk about the portion size. I saw what other people weee getting and assumed they ordered something for 2-3 people. Then I got my lunch menu which is usually on the smaller side. Not at this place. I was full after the homemade spring roll. I had to take leftovers home and ended up having a full take away box (full meal for next day). This place has the largest serving size I’ve seen worldwide. Food was classic westernized ‘Asian’ food, nothing out of the ordinary’ ‘loving hut’ style cuisine, but solid comfort food. Staff was very nice.

I’ve been to Tau many times and it’s always such a pleasure. The staff are super friendly and you can really feel the love for what they do. The food is amazing – honestly to die for – and they often have specials (food or drinks) that aren’t even on the menu, which makes each visit exciting. Also all of our omnivor friends always enjoyed the food.

Tau offers a variety of vegan options of asian dishes. Some of them are your typical "take out"-dishes like crispy duck or noodles with vegetables. And I can't tell you how much joy I felt to finally be able to eat crispy vegan muck duck after what feels like ages!

Die Auswahl ist sehr groß & es hat uns geschmeckt. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis (große Portionen um einen guten Preis). Die Besitzer bzw. das Personal waren extrem freundlich und sympathisch. Wir waren zur Vorweihnachtszeit dort und durften uns Flohmarkt-Style ein gratis Geschenk aussuchen. :)

Read moreEverything we ordered tasted great, I could not believe how real the mock chicken tasted. Super fresh vegetables, great noodles and exactly how I remembered the dish from back when I still ate meat.
I absolutely recommend to check it out, it's a bit far away from everything but it's worth the trip.
Only downside is the not so nice interior, garden in the summer was fine to sit.

Their menu is really big, they have a Lot of meat/seafood replacements but also tofu and such. Our weiter was really nice, quick and answered any questions we had thoroughly and checked up on us regularly. We sat outside which was really nice.
