Have only ordered from there so cannot judge what the actual location is like, but what we received wasn't anything special you can't get elsewhere in Amsterdam.
Read moreThe burgers are okay but nothing more than that. Not sure why more fast food places are opening up when we already have so many.
Would be very curious to try the milkshakes though, and definitely want to see if the burgers are better when you're actually there as they'd be fresher.

Went back after they reopened and was very happy and would have gone more often, but after that they stopped being vegan so lowering their score.

I am delighted with my experience! The food was fantastic, staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was upbeat. I ordered the Spice Girl burger with a meal upgrade to include a strawberry shake, and I was not disappointed.

Assuming because of the year long break, but the hype as previously mentioned is gone. So, they want to attract a wider demographic. Marketed as a taste test, chicken and plantbased chicken are served simultaneously. Because of that, I think besides myself, other vegans will refrain from coming here again. I have requested an info-update from happycow to label them as "vegan options".

Read moreOur mission is to promote the plantbased version of chicken as an amazing and tasty solution to eat less meat.
We also discovered in our own store, that it’s not necessarily vegans who could use the introduction to our food, but actually everyone on an omni diet. And they usually don’t come in by themselves or even turn away once they read our menu.
The best way to get everyone through the door first and to try the plantbased version second, is to attract them to come in and make them feel welcome so they can be inspired to try something new.
Once they discover how amazing plantbased chicken can be, we feel like we made the impact we are looking for and service as many people as possible with our plant-forward menu.
Different approach, same goal.

I love the interior, but what I like mostly about TLC is the food, obviously: Rich in flavor, great menu variety, and it's affordable, as well! Highly recommend to check out this place if you're planning on going to Amsterdam!

Hip tentje, aardig personeel we wilde truffel mayonaise bestellen maar toen werd uitgelegd dat deze niet vegan is. Dit komt doordat hier wel echte truffels in verwerkt zijn die door dieren zijn opgespoord. Heel fijn om op een plek te zijn die goed op de hoogte is. We hadden een Bucket besteld hier zaten allerlei soorten kip stukjes in. Dit werd na verloop wel wat eentonig want veel smaakte wel het zelfde. Ook een wrap besteld deze was smaakvol en erg lekkere groenten.

Visited just before closing (20 mins ish). Got the OG burger and corn ribs.

Corn was fine, although missing the TLC seasoning mentioned on the menu - quite bland. Being cooked well saved it, I think.
Burger was better but light on the salad. No lettuce or tomato, only onion and 2 pickles. The protein was not breaking any new ground but definitely above average. Would love to experience this burger as intended - not sure this was it.
Overall, not the best first impression, but I can tell it would be a 5* place if caught at the right time. Service was friendly, but like the food, felt rushed.
Pros: All-vegan menu = relaxed when ordering, Nice milkshake, Not overpriced

Tastes Like Chicken is Great - Edit
My husband and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We went to a great vegan place called Tastes Like Chicken—junk food but not greasy at all. Super delicious. We had the winner bucket , coleslaw, and Korean fried chicas—all delicious! We also had the soft serve ice cream and it was terrific. We highly recommend it. The manager is friendly and welcoming and knows his menu well.

The chicken tastes like what I remember chicken tasting like. I was taken aback but ended up enjoying the burgers we got! Got the OG and Spice Girl burgers, one with regular crinkle cut fries and one with the party mix, which is all their fry options mixed in one serving. Hit the spot for a fast food craving.

Affordable and flavorful fast food - Edit
TLC is definitely one of the best vegan fast food places in Amsterdam. The truffle chicken burger is full of creamy truffly goodness (like a juicy burger should be) and they also offer a creative and spicy chikin waffle with optional soft serve to be completely decadent. The Korean-style vegan chikin is very tasty too. Their vegan chikin is some of the best mock chicken I've had.
