Not particularly vegan-literate but good meal - Edit
Very cute hole-in-the-wall vibes, up a little alley. They said they were having a very busy February and so there was a bit of a wait and we got a drink at the dive bar nearby while we waited for them to call.
Read moreGot the kitsune (udon soup), garlic edamame, and sweet potato tempura. I only verified the soup was vegan, but saw other people here say they got the appetizers so went with it. As others have mentioned, the appetizer portions were small, however we found the meal affordable. I didn’t find the kitsune as bland as others did — I thought it was delicious. Didn’t love the super thick sauce that came with the tempura but was happy to try the purple potatoes for the first time!
There’s a vegetarian section to the sushi menu but other than that nothing is clearly labeled.
Not necessarily a “must visit” for this vegan but I’m happy we went!

Nothing especially veg friendly - Edit
Had some delicious edamame and a nice avocado-cucumber roll. But didn’t see anything else vegan. Good service.

Disappointed - Edit
I went back after after a couple of years and it's gone downhill. The Kitsune Bowl tasted like miso soup with noodles ... zero depth and no character. The sweet potato tempura was a very small portion size. Our server was not helpful.

It’s tough to find good vegan sushi that goes beyond the avocado roll. We ordered the Kitsune Udon with Inari, Da Buddah roll (shiitake, avo, cuc, inari), Inari nigiri, the special sweet potato tempura, and agedashi tofu. Everything was beyond delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Just tell them you’re vegan.
They ran out of their vegan special Ume Shiso roll which was a bummer. They also have a load more vegetarian options.

Few options and mediocre - Edit
I had Da Buddha roll (good), Ume Shiso roll (meh), Kitsune udon (fair), and a house sake (cheap and boozy). The waitress kept forgetting my sake, and I eventually had to hey up and go to the counter to remind her. The prices were good, which was the one redeeming feature.
Read morePros: Low prices, Fast service
Cons: Few vegan options, Sake is low quality
