Sun Bear sell fabulous vegan ice creams. When I visited they had vanilla, strawberry, lemon, chocolate and mandarin.
The guy who makes it was so friendly and lovely to talk to. The pinned location on Google maps is wrong. The store is at the Stephens Green end of the street
When we visited, there were four different vegan ice creams (Dark chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and lemon) and all of those were absolutely delicious! Also, the employee is very nice and a portion of the earnings goes to actual sun bears
When I visited the lovely owner had just developed a new vegan and sugar free vanilla flavor. It was my first vanilla ice cream in five years and it was SO good! The chocolate was also delicious but the vanilla was just to die for!
The Hazelnut flavour is unreal. By far the best vegan ice-cream I ever had.
However, Tourist be warned about Dublin ice cream prices. Two scoops sets you back 4.80€
The cones are vegan now as well.
I’ve been there a couple of times, their vegan ice cream is very good and it’s nice that they give some of their profits to associations protecting bears in the wild (hence the name).
They clearly mark their vegan ice cream (you can see a list on a whiteboard inside the shop) and seems to rotate them once in a while. So far I had Dark Chocolate, Stracciatela and Pistachio, and would definitely suggest the first two.
Note that they don’t have a vegan cone, so your only option is to go with a cup (shame as that’s more wasteful).
This was some of the best darn sorbet/gelato I’ve ever had. Texture, flavour... I can’t wait to to back. Doesn’t hurt that things are also ethically sourced!
3 vegan options : dark chocolate, hazelnut and macadamia nut. The last one doesn't have a lot of flavours but the first ones are delicious ! Friendly staff

Delicious gelato like Italy! - Edit
I chose one scoop of dark chocolate gelato and it was 4.50€. Definitely worth it. The cones are not vegan so had in a tub.

% of the price is donated to ‘save the bears’ which is such an amazing charity!

I went there with friends on the last day of our trip.
