Came in 30 minutes before closing and had the best experience. 1st the atmosphere is chill and vibey, 2nd the co-owner is an amazing human, and 3rd, the vegan sea salt chocolate chip cookie was sooooo effing good that before I finished I literally ordered six more to go. Best chocolate chip cookie I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. Changing my plans so I can go back tomorrow for brekkie/lunch.

Both the food and drinks menus are a nice mix of familiar and unusual. We enjoyed: Rothaus (both weizen and pilsner) on tap, natural wine on tap, Jack-di-mare "taste of the sea" balls and especially the cheesy balls (a cross between a kaasstengel and a dough ball).

Update: we came for lunch and, although there was no full English breakfast on the menu today, we thoroughly enjoyed what we had (see photos) and will happily come back again.

I think if you start going there you'll never stop! too bad it was my last day in Netherlands. The coffee was really good and it has some toasts as well if you're hungry. I really recommend the dirty chai latte.

Subcult is the kind of place I would’ve never randomly walked into, it’s in a neighborhood I never go to and it’s seems too punk for me. But to have a place like this be vegan, wow. So whilst being an unexpected experience, I was also blown away by the quality of the food and coffee. We had the weekend special (KFC) and it was absolutely mind blowing. It makes me wanna come back and see next weekend’s weekend special

Baked cheesy balls was a completely new food for me, cheesy and chewey. KFC was a nice surprise because it wasn’t made of typical chicken alternatives you’d expect from most vegan fast food restaurants. Coleslaw was better than at KFC. Will definitely be going back to try the hot dogs.

What’s not to love? Bangin’ coffee, cookies that are so addictive they are literally called crack cookies, vegan banana bread and after 12PM, fully loaded, incredibly unique style of hot dogs I’ve never even seen before. We came here for a snack before breakfast and then later in the day for an early dinner before heading off to Utrecht and it was amazing. Everything we ate was incredible (the hotdog pictured is called a Bella Ciao and it was outstanding).

Stopped here for some breakfast on the way to the train station. This was a great find! The staff were so friendly and made us feel at home immediately. We ordered fresh apple juice which was so so good and then mapo toasties which we loved. We ordered orange cake which was delicious. Would 100% recommend!

Completely vegan pub/cafe hybrid: amazing coffee, great beers on tap, in house pastries, cookies and signature mapo tosti! Great hang out spot for remote working, morning bites, drinks on the terrace... super close to the ferry - an oasis away from the busy city centre.
