Amazing food & coffee, nice staff - Edit
Went here for a breakfast and coffee. We had a chickpea omelette and smashed bananas on toast, both really delicious. Their coffee is excellent too!

Top vego nosh - Edit
A well thought out vegetarian/vegan cafe in Hobart CBD. Really good menu with plenty of varied wholefood, hearty and healthy options to choose from along with great coffee. Lunch items all have great flavours and are very filling. Nice range of pre-made sweet treats too. Great for a sit down lunch in the city, well worth a visit to treat yourself.

Everything about straightup is good. Quality organic ingredients feature. Prices are just right. Varied menu. Excellent attentive staff service. Meals are obviously designed by experienced chefs who understand vegan and vegetarian well. All glutenfree as well. Funky but no attitude. Everyone can feel welcome and comfortable.

LOVE this place! - Edit
Although it's a little small I love Straight Up. Last time I went I had the chickpea omelette which had tempeh inside it. Very tasty but I could of eaten a bit more. Also went back a few days later and had a melting moment cookie which was totally delicious. So many more things to try on the menu!
Read morePros: Lots of interesting options for breakfast, Vegan options marked, Fully vegetarian
Cons: Very busy, You can't book, They should be all vegan!

Pretty average - Edit
The staff were nice but the food didn't have much flavour. I had the beans with sauerkraut. The sauerkraut had hardly had any taste. It's supposed to be sour, like Kim chi. The beans were bland, except they put heaps of mustard seeds in and that's all you could taste. Ok, if you're hungry $16.00.

Delicious vegan noms! - Edit
Absolutely love eating here! Most food here is vegan or vegan option. Coffee is super good too! They make their own bread loaves. Service is always with a smile and they even remember us regulars! Sometimes you will need to wait though. It can get super busy. If you plan on sitting outside, prepare to freeze. Would be great if they had gas heaters outside. But other than that, love straight up!

GOOD - Edit
Really liked this place. Great little atmosphere, tight space but they use it very effectively. Loads on the menu, vegan options were good. Tried the buckwheat porridge with frothy almond milk and caramelised apple - it was lovely. There were also a lot of gluten free options. A fantastic place to take your kids, very family friendly. Cute decor too.

Straight Up Good - Edit
Really enjoyed the lunch which was a great salad, fruit drink with a "peanut nutter"and coffee for dessert. We managed to get a seat outside and despite the busy street we were able to converse. The service was positive and flexible.

The staff at this cafe were a perfect example of how customer service ought to be. Our meals came out quickly, were displayed beautifully, and tasted delicious to boot. Highly recommend the BBQ mushroom dish, and the waffles!

So so good! Mostly vegan or vegan option menu and although a reasonably small menu, it caters for everyone! I'm pretty fussy with what I eat but I would eat almost every item on the menu. The sweets were amazing too!

Heaven! - Edit
Came here on a recommendation, and the recommendation was spot on! The food is fantastic - exactly my sort of thing -Healthy, fresh and super tasty.
Read moreI tried the roast veg salad and the miso/tahini marinated pumpkin with cauliflower cuscus. Both were absolutely delicious, and I've already got my eye on a few things for next time.
Coffee is to die for, and roasted in house (beans available to take home as well).
They do breads as well apparently, there were none available when I was there, but they look amazing from the pics. Hoping to take home a fruit loaf the next time I'm in.
Officially my new new number one for lunch in the city!
Pros: Delicious, Healthy options, Fantastic coffee
