Good food and quick service. Good value for money too. All cutlery and crockery was single-use, however.

Amazing braised tofu bao - Edit
My first time ever having braised tofu - simply heavenly. The place has a small dine-in area with 40min time limit, and lovely staff. Can't wait to try their sweets too!

Casual space we tried all four bao’s and also had the most delicious hot and sour soup. The drinks were fab as well: a beet smoothie and a pineapple and green juice. So good!!

Great food and large, varied, all-vegan menu. Can't wait to go back. - Edit
We ate there late afternoon during a lull and, as we finished, three groups totaling about eight customers walked in. We knew why.
Read moreWe ate the Hawaiian Vegan Burger (a chicken patty topped with a fresh pineapple slice and agave mustard sauce), and a Braised Tofu Skin Bao Bun. We got both as a combo with French fries and sweet potato fries and iced tea (your choice of sweetened or unsweetened).
Their menu is so varied - burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls, bao buns, Japanese Bento boxes, and desserts.
The food was hot, freshly prepared, and really tasty. We look forward to eating there again and asked to participate in their frequent diner bonus program.
You won't be disappointed in this clean little restaurant near a subway stop.

Chinatown gem - Edit
I had very good vegan food. Two things I would do better: More or at least more comfortable seating to dine in and real dishes/ cutlery if no take out. Even with my 'for there' meal I got everything in one way containers and plastic forks. But the menu and food is really nice.

Best for a quick, casual, indulgent meal. - Edit
Spring Cafe is in the midst of Manhattan Chinatown's heavy foot traffic, so sitting by the window is a great way to see the world go by, to "people watch".
Read moreWith that said, the interior of this eatery is minimalist with counter tables and chairs only, so it's not a place to spend a lot of time in, which is definitely OK.
With that said, my friend and I enjoyed a conversation over lunch here. Spring Café is an upscale, Asian-American version of vegan fast food, so it's indulgent and the menu is clearly curated thoughtfully. The Black Pepper Mushroom Burger is a light, flavorful burger to eat, and some fries and buns are a must to supplement your main meal.

I got the black pepper mushroom bao buns combo with fries and an iced tea. The bao buns were much larger than anticipated and very good. Highly recommended for a quick lunch.

So fresh and delicious - Edit
Everything is made fresh and is delicious. I had the simple fresh juice and the spring sandwich in a lettuce wrap to make it gluten free. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be going back.

Fast & Fresh! - Edit
I recently stopped by Spring Cafe for the second time. This visit I tried the Hash Brown & Cheese Sandwich ($10.95), hesitating between that and the Vegan Ham, Egg & Cheese option. My choice was spot-on. The sandwich was so good – exactly like the picture and bursting with freshness. The bread, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and the perfectly cooked hash browns created a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Even the ketchup was outstanding, a departure from the ordinary.
Read moreAside from great food, the service was incredibly friendly. Their menu is diverse, offering burgers, salads, bowls, bao buns, coffee, smoothies, and more. Plus, they have a loyalty program with stamp cards – 9 stamps get you a $10 credit.
Although I usually refrain from reviewing based on one dish, the exceptional quality and service compelled me to share my experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their offerings!

What a gem! Between us we had a sandwich and fries, a bento box and a noodle salad. All we're brilliant - even my fussy tween hoovered hers up. Lots of veg and interesting tastes and seasoning. Woman on the counter was super friendly too. Loved it!

I have been here several times and it’s always great! I had the vegan chicken salad and it was perfect. Make sure they include the dressing if you are getting it to go! I also had the juice which was fresh and delish. They also have cake! I think it’s from vegan treats, so yummy!
