Always love when I have the opportunity to have dim sum. Ordered a whole bunch of different things. Enjoyed the sticky rice in lotus leaf, siu mai, and steamed beancurd roll

My NYC staple! - Edit
Whenever I’m in the city, I’ve got to visit Bodhi Kosher at least once. Large dim sum menu and with a lot of creative dishes. Almost everything I’ve tried from the menu has been delicious — especially the soup dumplings!! The service is also extremely fast for what is often a crowded restaurant, and the food is relatively cheap. You can’t go wrong!

Best Vegan Dim Sum - Edit
This is an amazing gem in Chinatown NY, I haven’t had Dim Sum in 4 years since I became vegan, but this place has created all the amazing dishes that I missed— just veganized! My non vegan fiancé thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ veg meat dish, even though he said every single dish was worth going vegan over :).
Read moreHim and I ate about 7 different dim sum dishes and we were stuffed, and the grand total of our bill was $50. Also our cups of waters were never empty once, they were amazing with the refills and clearing our dirty plates to make room for more food.
If you have an opportunity to check this place out, please do!
Pros: Authentic Dim Sum taste, Great prices, Hospitable service

probably my new favorite takeout spot - Edit
I’d been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I couldn’t be gladder I did. After I tried it the first time, I ordered it again for days after—trying something new every time. I’ve tried a bunch of different menu items now, and there’s still so much I want to try because it’s such a huge menu. It’s affordable and their vegan bbq pork (or char siu) is to die for. I have yet to be disappointed by one thing on their menu.

So so so so good - Edit
This place is amazing. It is all vegan (despite the confusing vegetarian name) and has a separate gluten free menu with a lot of options. The food was really delicious and portions were decent. Reasonably expensive but probably cheaper than a lot of places in new york.

Just awesome - Edit
I always struggle with a menu that has more than two choices! The food is so packed with flavour. Never having tried dim sum before, we tentatively ordered a few. Taste bud explosion! The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is a real gem in the heart of Chinatown. Highly recommended!

Simple and delicious - Edit
Enjoyed a great meal herecrispy duck appetizer and tofu with basil for main were both full of flavour, and the Chinese broccoli with garlic was delicious. No gimmicks, just well-executed, tasty food. Great value. Would happily come back.,

Yes, all vegan! We ordered iced tea, tofu veg, noodles and fried "chicken" bites. All very tasty, and quite filling for a fair price ( free tea)! I regret that i can't try everything ☺️

Satisfied Years of Longing for Dim Sum - Edit
First of all, for the amount of food you get it's very cheap. The ma po tofu and radish cakes were slight misses but those were outshined to an insane degree by the fried taro, char siu bao, and my personal favorite - lotus leaf rice. Literally just filled the hole in my heart that was real deal dim sum.

Symphony of textures - Edit
I stumbled on this restaurant while waiting to catch a Chinatown bus, and it was so satisfying. I was alone and ordered three medium-sized dim sum plates: spinach rice roll, steamed curry dumplings, and vegetarian chicken bean curd roll. Each brought a different set of textures, ranging from simple to complex, and the cumulative effect was both elemental and symphonic. It was more food than I could eat, and the bill was still less than $20. The place was packed and service was courteous and efficient. Next time, I will return with friends so I can sample more of the menu.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED - Edit
One of the best Chinese vegan restaurants in Chinatown. The portions are generous so it’s a good idea to go with multiple people to try as many dishes as possible! Looking forward to going back and trying their dim sum.

it was really really bad - Edit
i’m vegan and love chinese food and mock meats. but this was absolutely awful. the broccoli wasnt cooked, the beef tasted like chemicals , everything tasted off, the plates and cup were dirty and they got me a new cup but that was also dirty. this was the second worst nyc food experience i’ve ever had

¡Porciones gigantes! - Edit
Primera vez visitando el barrio chino. Estábamos medios perdidos sobre los platos y sus porciones así que pedimos 2 platos con tofu y era demasiada comida.

I've been here many times and it always slaps. The szechuan beef was so believable I asked them to confirm it wasn't actual beef. Even though I knew it wasn't, it was that convincing.

Not fully vegan - Edit
I have an anaphylactic dairy allergy and I went here thinking it was fully vegan. When I arrived they said that 5% of the menu had dairy (so not fully vegan). I was assured that what I ordered was dairy free but unfortunately I had a reaction and had to use the epi pen. Would not recommend if you have a severe dairy allergy like me, but otherwise the food looked and tasted delicious 😅

Oh my goodness, why is this still labeled as fully vegan here? This place has never been fully vegan if I remember correctly.

This is a Chinese Buddhism spot, for traditional Chinese Buddhism they still consume eggs and dairy , which is different than Indian Hindi. For Indian Hindi, they see eggs as a form of life already so they won’t consume eggs but they will consume dairy because the traditional way of milking cow isn’t really hurting them physically in their religion and culture. Therefore, in this spot I believe that you have to always double check if the item contains eggs or dairy. The lady will always explain to you

There is another restaurant with a similar name that is nearby and that is not 100% vegan. What things did this place admit had dairy?
