Best bagels - Edit
I’d give the vegan breakfast sandwich 3 stars—it’s a just egg folded, a slice of cheddar (maybe follow your heart?), and what I think is the beyond breakfast sausage. I find that particular sausage to be quite overpowering. However, the bagels are tops. Easily the best bagel I’ve had in Portland. I’m excited to come back and get one with cream cheese.

The Spiel Deal - Edit
I ordered Vegan Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a sesame bagel. It was actually cheaper than the non-vegan version! I enjoyed it, but I was disappointed all the orders were made for takeout since the Northwest location had reusable dishes. Also, there were coffee mugs for sale, but I didn't see any for dining in.

Best Bagels in Portland - Edit
I was surprised not to see the east side location of Spielman’s on here. They have always had great bagels and coffee. They also now how Shoofly vegan pastries, a vegan breakfast sandwich and a vegan veggie sandwich. We love this spot. Lots of outdoor seating and very old school Portland.
