I was so blown away by this restaurant!! Te food was incredibly delicious! I’m so happy I found this restaurant through Happy Cow. I got a cocktail and a noodle soup and both were really really fantastic. The portions of food are quite large, I couldn’t finish my meal and neither could my boyfriend but I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!

Good food but not worth the hype - Edit
We went to Soy with a bit too high expectations. As an appetizer, we had the steamed dumplings which were really good. As entree, I had a noodle dish which was good but unfortunately a bit bland, and we also had to ask the staff for some hot sauce as it wasn't on the table. All in all, the food was good but I went here with slightly too high expectations and the service definitely didn't make it better. For example, we also had a cocktail before dinner but unfortunately we spilled some of it - and had to ask twice for napkins. They did not attempt to help us at all, so the service wasn't really great, to say the least.

Or rather -a non exciting service... I had to get up twice to go and ask them to come to our table. And it wasn’t even that busy. I heard the same from someone else too.

The staff were a bit busy and it was hard to get their attention. our food came out quickly once we managed to order and was nice. the starters were gorgeous but too small, the mains were bland and too big.

Delicious - Edit
The mixed reviews put me off a little but we gave it a go. We had the dumpling soup + a main dish with noodles. The soup was amazing, really tasty. We come from Spain where it's hard to find international food so we were excited to try different flavours. The teas also were great, if you're vegan make sure you ask for agave not honey. The service was professional and they offered to box up our leftovers which was great. The portions are huge!

The best pho I have ever had in my life. It's cheap, it's cozy and the food is out of this world. I will always come back here every time I visit Berlin.

tasty and cheap - Edit
Their lunch menu is pretty cheap and you get one main dish and one starter or tea or something. The coconut soup was very tasty. Main dishes were ok, bit too salty. Convenient.

Stay away! - Edit
Stay away. Unbelievable poor service, the waitress (brown-blue eye lenses) was extremely rude and offensive. The atmosphere is not welcoming and the food is mediocre. Not recommended.

I've been here a few times now, for their lunch menu and for dinner. The food is always good, if expensive (except at lunch) but the staff are almost always rude. To the point I don't want to go back. The atmosphere is okay but a bit dead.

sometimes it can be really difficult to have the waiter's attention as they aren't enought on the floor.
But overall, it's a good experience for a cheap price.

Cool atmosphere but.. - Edit
I loved the vibe of the place but between there being no wifi and the staff sort of being grouped together and not making it obvious that they were open, my experience was average. Asian food, even vegan places, tends to not seem very healthy or carefully crafted to me. From somebody who enjoys eating usually raw vegan for optimal health, Soy wasn't my favorite. Still a very fine place to eat.

Excellent Food with a Cool Atmosphere - Edit
This was my first time trying Vietnamese cuisine and another first for vegan food outside of the U.K. I was not disappointed! The staff were very friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. We were quickly seated and provided a lunch menu and offered a summer roll for starters. It came with a peanut/satay style dip and was a tasty match with the rice paper veggie roll.
Read moreWe waited maybe...15 minutes tops before our lunch was served, which was impressive considering it was quite busy (though not crowded). My girlfriend had the noodle dish Banh Canh Hap, A mix of seitan, tofu and veggies in soy sauce, which I tried, and was very impressed. The seitan was especially succulent.
Personally I had the coconut and and lemongrass noodle soup called the My Quang. I can not say enough how amazingly well balanced it was! The mix of mint, lemongrass, coconut with the mushroom and crispy sesame seed chip things was crazy good and perfected with the peanut garnish. The dishes were huge! We were very satisfied by the portion size to price ratio.
We went and paid another visit before the end of the trip for my girlfriends 30th birthday. We essentially had the same again (boring choice on our behalf but we couldn't resist a second helping). It was hot evening, so we wanted to sit outside but alas there wasn't any free seats however probably a good sign of popular demand. It was still cool enough inside (literally and figuratively) for us, so no real drama.
The only two very small issue we had was having to ask three different waiters for our bill in the end. Though again, understandably they were fairly busy.
Another was with the Mojito cocktails we had. They were so strong we could have used them to treat wounds. However, after a couple of them, we for some reason didn't seem to care as much, so never mind we were happy. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

fresh all-vegan food - Edit
Even though it's marked as vegetarian everything on the menu was vegan. They are really focused offering fresh and healthy food - salads are fresh from the market and organic, water is filtered with leogant filters to remove any remainig pollution by anything.

The menu looked interesting and the place was busy which is a good sign, however, as a traveller with no cellular data I really needed to get on wifi to look up a few things, and because they didn't have wifi I didn't stay. Maybe the next time I'm in Berlin!

Fast, fresh & authentic - Edit
We went to Vietnam a few years ago and this was the most authentic Vietnamese food we have eaten since. We ordered 2 soups, summer spring rolls, noodle soup and a rice clay pot. They were all really tasty, highly recommend the coconut & lemongrass soup starter. The food came quickly and it was piping hot. The restaurant itself was perfect for a catch up with a group of friends, quite noisy though so not ideal if you are looking for an intimate dinner for two.
