I came here with high expectations, but unfortunately they weren't met. First of all, they only accept cash, so we had to go back outside to find an ATM before we could go back in. We were seated at an ugly table next to harsh TL-light from a counter filled with plastic vegetables that served as props. The menu consists not only of Japanese food, but pretty much every Asian cuisine you could think of. Nevertheless, the decorations of the restaurant are mostly Japanese, like some traditional sake bottles. Yet there is no sake on the menu. We decided to only go for Japanese options to play safe and went for 3 varieties of sushi and a seaweed salad with green tea & lime dressing. It turned out to be a regular chuka wakame salad, which was good, but didn't taste anything like green tea nor lime. The sushi varieties also looked good, but they were quite plain to be honest. A few days later I had 1 variety of sushi at KIM999, a Vietnamese restaurant, and that one was way more outstanding AND friendly service, so you might as well go there if you're into sushi.

Really like the food here. The staff looked very cranky and did not smile once. I read the reviews here on happy cow about the staff but i wanted to check it out my self before giving my opinion.

Especially the politeness of the service people was so bad. Besides this, the food is tasty, orders are fixed quickly. But I wouldn’t come back, just because the service was rude.

this place was so highly recommended in vegan travel groups that it became the first restaurant on my list to try in berlin.
Read moremost of the sushi just didn’t taste good. most sushi had been made out of black rice, which is an interesting thought but the taste didn’t deliver. two
maki’s had white rice and the other one out of them, one with vegan lox was very good! it was the only sushi that we actually liked. on top of that, the mango smoothie on the menu was amazing.
we couldn’t finish the rest of the meal and ended up leaving the place still in hunger and feeling hugely dissapointed. it ended up being more expensive than we thought so all the money went to waste. too bad but now at least we know not to go there again!
the customer service wasn’t that great either.

Maybe it’s just me, but this place just wasn’t my favorite. There were some fun and unique options on the menu. Overall I thought the food was good, but definitely not great, and felt it was a bit on the expensive side. Personally, I also wished they had a bit more varied of a drink menu - I really wanted a cocktail with my dinner, but there wasn’t anything on the menu I really thought I would enjoy so I ended up skipping it in favor of one of their non-alcoholic drinks (which actually was quite tasty).

Relaxed Atmosphere, Great Service and Food - Edit
On my first night in Berlin I treated myself to a nice sit-down meal, two courses. Starting with the Summer Rolls with peanut sauce and having a mixed veg curry for the main. The place is quite dark inside, which is good as it suits the vibe. Can't fault the food and the service, certainly didn't feel rushed or overcrowded on a Monday Night.
