Fun lunch

We visited the aquarium and this wasn’t too far away. Nice aquarium beautiful exhibits but rather small.
We ordered the avocado empanadas, a shareable dish. Mostly bread, but a good dipping sauce. Then we shared the tostones and some yellow rice & pigeon peas. The main dish was very good. Be sure to ask for the vegan sauce, the ones out are not vegan. It was very good and very fried.

Gigantic patacon

We got a take away order and had a picnic at a nearby park. Venezuelan and Columbian were new cuisines for my partner and me so we were excited to try Salsa Rosada. We got the jackfruit and vegan mozzarella empanada with the vegan salsa rosada and vegan cilantro sauce, and a humongous jackfruit patacon. The patacon was huge and we barely made a dent in it! Would get the empanada again but probably try the vegan bowl next time. I liked the sauces and the jackfruit had good texture and taste.
