There are better options in Rochester

I stopped by for lunch today and while the staff were super nice and attentive, and yes the menu is extensive, the vegan enchiladas were just Not It. It included one of each of beans, cheese, and "mixed veggies" enchiladas. The bean enchilada was fine. The cheese one it was like there was no attempt to melt it. Just shreds wrapped up. The mixed veggies enchilada was steamed carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. No real seasoning or anything outside of the mole. The waitress asked me if I was "ok with the vegan cheese" and I thought she was just referring to the cheese enchilada and said I said yes. No, that was apparently me saying I wanted the $3 (!!) surcharge to have more vegan shreds melted on top of the sauce and sprinkled on the side of the beans. At least that cheese was melted. $21 for a very filling but disappointing lunch.

Chips tasted good though. I might come back to try a tofu dish but not likely, honestly. Can get better food at Neno's for the same price or less.

Pros: Really nice staff, Outdoor seating

Cons: Food was just ok, Too easy to accidentally get the cheese surcharge, Kinda expensive considering the quality

Best vegan Mexican in Rochester

The separate vegan menu is extensive. The kitchen staff is eager to create new tofu dishes and offer more vegan options. The vegan nachos are amazing. They also have a tofu-mango taco. So good!
