The food is an aquired taste with a pub vibe - Edit
This kind of food is for a certain type of person and I’m not that type. The food is heavy, filling and too meaty for me. I had the ribs on brioche and tried the brisket. Even before I was a vegetarian I never really liked the taste and structure of meat and I think that’s why I didn’t really enjoy the food. The ribs were just too much for me. The sides (Mac n cheese, salad) and the bread were great. The pub itself is nice, it’s an impressive brewery and I love that it’s fully vegan.

Smokey, meaty, good sides - Edit
Although the plate was expensive, it was a lot of food so I thought it was decent value for money. The sides were the star in my opinion and the brisket and ribs were both nice.

Filling yet not so flavoursome - Edit
As some other reviewers have said, not quite as good as was expected but was adequate and filling.
Read moreWould recommend the brisket over the ribs and the original sauce over the bourbon.
Mac and cheese was not cheesy but still tasty. Enjoyed the homemade pickles (very intrigued by the pickleback cocktails), potato salad and the ranch dip.
Staff very friendly but food did take a while to come out, considering how quiet it was when we got there.

High Expectations - Edit
OK, I admit that I had high expectations.
Read moreFirstly, the venue is cool, lovely staff, there is outdoor seating, and it has lots of decent beers/drinks/cocktails, also the music is great for those that like the genre. I imagine it's a really good night out. It deserves 5 stars because on top of all of this it's a vegan venue 💚
The food was ok, BUT there are no chips/fries! Without these we felt like something was missing. The baked beans came with a lot of bean sauce and chips would have been ideal to dip in.
The sides of coleslaw and macaroni cheese were tasty, wasn't so keen on the corn on the cob. The vegan ribz and burnt ends were ok.

Tasty but disappointed - Edit
Maybe our expectations were too high! We tried the brisket, tofu and wings. We had been really excited to try the smokehouse offerings but a bit disappointed by the portion size of the "meat" and the lack of smokey and crispyness, especially the tofu. Sides were generous though. Friendly staff.

Just do it! Unique experience - Edit
As long time fans of LD's Sunday Roasts at the Black Heart I knew I had to check this out. A totally vegan smoke house hosted within a craft brewery - totally unique and food was incredible. Friendly staff, great music, I will be back!

Simply Amazing - Edit
This is something special. We got a chance to eat here before seeing Korine at the MOTH club.
Read more(Before I forget to mention it the beer here is reallllyy good.) The food is even better. The mock meats and the flavors really are something special. Possibly some of the best mock meat I've ever had, each was unique with it's own textures. All the sides were of a very high quality too. And I think value for money was pretty decent, each of the plates in my picture was about £15-£18 and it was all quite filling.
The taproom itself is really nice, it has an alternative vibe which we like a lot, it's under train arches which I always like and the beer vats are on display in a very nice way. The staff were very friendly.

The most amazing vegan BBQ - Edit
Amazing brewery serving great beers and some of the most amazing Vegan BBQ. They had burnt ends available as part of a veganuary special and they were just delicious. We had the brisket with sides and the spicy sauce and it was simply delicious. Definitely one to make the trip for. #Veganuary

Smoked seitan - Edit
We ordered the two Christmas specials and they were both delicious, especially with the BBQ cranberry sauce. It's nice to find a vegan place that is experimenting with fake meat by assembling different ingredients (gluten/jackfruit/tofu/mushrooms) in inventive ways and smokes them. The pub has a great rock'n'roll & metal ambiance and very good beer. The brewery also offers a delicious Christmas ale, great cocktails and amazing non-alcoholic options.

Pros: In-house smoke house, in-house brewery, all vegan
Cons: The food was a little greasy, it gets loud in the evening, single use (recycled) containers

Beer, Smoked Food, More Beer - Edit
Absolutely loved this place - the 'ribs', mustardy Potato salad and mac n cheeze in particular were sensational - loved their ranch Sauce too but the beer...oh my gosh, some of the best IPAs I have had in months - super dog and kid friendly too, definitely going to be coming back again soon.

Saint Monday - Edit
The vegan meats were absolutely delicious and warrant a 5-star rating alone. I liked the brisket best, it was very juicy and flavorful. My partner liked the ribs best. You really can’t go wrong with vegan protein here. However, I’d say the sides need some work, they were OK. The best side was the coleslaw. I wouldn’t order the beans or the mac ‘n’ cheese again.

Tasty and different - Edit
Never seen a vegan smokehouse before. And while the food was good it didn't blow me away. Nice to have different options and lots of sides to pick from.
