Great for the experience, average food - Edit
Let's start with the positive things:
Read more- Calm atmosphere
- Perfect service
- Freshly roasted hojicha and generous matcha
- Fresh warabi mochi as dessert
However, I was disappointed with the food.
It was all vegan, but I found it too simple. Technically it was temple food and I can certainly believe it is consumed in temples in Japan. But having been to several temples in Japan for lunch, Sabo's meal was really not interesting at all. I was expecting a bit more, especially for the price.
In summary, if you want to have a great Japanese dining experience, but you don't mind having simple food, this is a great place.
If you just want great Japanese food, then maybe you're better off somewhere else.
Pros: service
Cons: not a good value
