Fine Indian Dining - Edit
This is my favorite restaurant in the area and my go-to celebration spot. The owner is 100% devoted to the customer experience. The decor is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the vibe is welcoming. The menu is large, and has both vegetarian and vegan sections.

Amazing restaurant - Edit
An entire vegan section, and an incredibly accommodating staff, not to mention that the interior is beautiful. The manager insisted on giving us something on the way out: champagne, coffee, something.

🤤🤤🤤 - Edit
Very clearly labeled Vegan menu on the back page. Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. Authentic Indian cuisine. The owner is the most wonderful man who remembers every customer who dined at his restaurant, and treats everyone like they are royalty or part of a special club. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

Great vegan menu - Edit
They list 7 vegan entrees in the back of the menu, such a nice addition. It beats going through the conversation of ‘what can you make vegan?’ Royal Taj is a beautiful restaurant with such professional, warm staff. The food is very good!

Delicious Aloo Gobi - Edit
Our overall impression is that there is a better Indian restaurant in town - Mango Grove - only two miles away. Royal Taj isn't bad and we'd eat here if there weren't other options. Mango Grove has an overwhelmingly vegan menu compared to just five options at Royal Taj. Our one experience at Royal Taj included a significant wait - about 40 minutes for a ToGo order. Their phone lines were down so we couldn't call ahead. Their internet was down so they couldn't process credit cards normally. The food was actually pretty good but the portion sizes were disappointing given their entrees run several dollars more than the typical Mango Grove entree. The atmosphere was also loud and busy with many tables crammed much closer together than at Mango Grove. If the food hadn't been reasonably tasty it would have been an overwhelmingly negative experience. As it is, we will likely not return. If you're just passing through, the food is good and it's worth a shot. Locals vegans will find a more welcoming atmosphere at Mango Grove with their Meatless Monday events and mostly vegan lunch buffet.
