The red sauce dish (can’t remember the name) & the cacio de Pepe was an easy 8.5/10, so so so good!

Wonderful experience! - Edit
The employees were very friendly and helpful! We didn't have a reservation but the staff offered to set up a table and chairs on the street.
Read moreWe ate a tomato bruschetta and a rosemary foccacia for starters, as a main course we ate some cannelloni and a carbonara pasta which were delicious! But the real star was the tiramisu! I'm almost certain I won't eat such a good vegan tiramisu again in my life!
Pros: amazing food, Good portions

Great that’s it’s fully vegan! - Edit
We went twice as our first experience was really good. On the first visit we had lasagna and crepes and the second visit was pizza and pasta. The pasta was good but we did not like our pizzas. Overall worth a try and great to have a vegan restaurant rather than just vegetarian in Rome.

Nice starters, but carbonara lacking some flavor/salt 🥲 - Edit
I had very high expectations for the carbonara but got a bit disappointed because the pasta was definitely lacking some savory factors…
Read moreThe starters were nice though (we had a bruschetta with vegan gorgonzola, potato croquettes, and vegan fried fish)

Tasty traditional food - Edit
The food and menu were really good. Some of the tastiest I've had. Knocking off a star as the main course came out cold. We didn't book and they were squeezing us in! Which meant they were rushing with the courses which probably caused this. With hindsight we should have had so many courses as we had limited time. But what we had was very tasty and the staff were friendly. Incredibly busy so very important to book a table.

Kitchen closed? - Edit
When we sat down, we were told the kitchen was supposed to be closed. But when we walked around the restaurant an hour later, we saw people still getting food.

Traditional Italian Food - Edit
Excellent resturant to get that authentic Italian experience without eating animals or animal products. Went with my non vegan friend and she said it was the best food she had all trip. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little spot - Edit
Was nervous going to Italy being vegan but this place was such a good find. Lovely wide range of fully vegan dishes, I had the carbonara and it was so rich and creamy for a vegan dish.

Beautiful dining experience! - Edit
Both traditional and creative! All Italians here when we went, cheerful and bustling. Need a reservation and the res policies are strict. But was worth it to me. Favorites of our group were the zucchini flowers, greens, mushroom bruschetta, and grecia pasta. The vegan cheeses are very well done! They had 3D printed “steak” which while not my thing was fun for my friend to try.

Food makes it up - Edit
The food was to my taste as for the staff I do not know what to think. It seems the waiters are nicer when talking Italian. After smoothing the vibe with some laughter it seemed better.
Read moreHad: for starters Arancino zucca e pancetta and Supplì which I really liked. Then spaghetti alla carbonara which seemed to be the bestseller during this lunch time.
Finished with the tiramisu and liked it a lot!

Food ok, service unfriendly - Edit
Food was not bad but not as good as the reviews made us hope. Unfortunately the service was unfriendly and we had the feeling that locals were treated nicer. Also, the waiting times were too long. Can not recommend.

You can trust Rifugio Romano! - Edit
The staff was very friendly, helpful and took care of all the requests. There is a wide choice of options and the amount of food is very generous. Also, not expensive at all, considering that it’s very centrally located, next to Termini station and that Rome prices are very high.

Really delicious food. GF available. - Edit
The food tastes amazing and lots of choice. Hard to pick a favourite! Even the red house wine was lovely! We had: vegan arancino, deep fried artichoke, gluten-free carbonara and brocolli pasta. Recommended to book in advance.

Incredible - Edit
In this family owned Trattoria close to the main train station, everything I ate was delicious. The owners were extremely friendly and I ate here multiple times, having the Cannelloni, the famous Roman Cacio e Pepe, as well as a pizza Margherita. The pizza was the best Margherita I ever had.

Authentic tasty Italian food - Edit
We had very tasty food here and would recommend. The arancini starter, ravioli and lasagne were all really good.

It's a small restaurant (so make sure you book ahead) and quite traditional-looking inside. The service was quick and efficient.

Really good - Edit
We went on a very cold and rainy day and they only had outdoor seating but that was fine because I’m from somewhere cold. Because the servers thought we were miserable, they took extra good care of us and were very great. The food was really really good. My husband can’t stand vegan cheese so he got a pizza without, and I got the lasagna. Both were really good. Pistachio cake was dry but had good flavor, and the tiramisu was awesome.

This place is amazing! Every dish was really good but the star of the show was the 3D printed steak?? No idea how they make that but it was incredibly realistic and well prepared. Highly recommend this place :)

Worst place ever - Edit
We didn't even get a dinner because the service was so horrible. We tried to get a table the first evening. But they were fully booked. That's ok. But we couldn't reserve a table for the next day. We were just told use our webside. So we did and got a table outside at 10°. The waitress answered at our request to sit inside everything is booked.
