Absolutely Great Ethiopian Food

I love this place and visit about three or four times a year. It is a traditional Ethiopian local neighborhood spot. I almost always order the vegetarian platter with brown and white injera. They will make all of it vegan if you ask and briefly explain. This includes the shiro wot, which traditionally is often made with butter - they will make it with oil instead if you let them know. This place also has ful medames. They are incredibly delicious, but also a little oily. Fresh fruit juices are on offer as well. The owner is really friendly. Four stars because it is not a fully vegan restaurant.

Four vegan choices

There are only four vegan dishes but they are all surprisingly delicious! Just wish they have more vegan options. I also had the privilege of visiting their kitchen where the cooks make injeras both brown and white in batches! Oh wow, that was something interesting to watch how my food being prepared!😉

Four vegan options on the menu: Normal Firfir (spiced onions and tomatoes mixed with injera), Shiro Wot (ground chickpeas), Foul Smashed Peas. Mixed Vegetable Combo (most popular choice)
