Burgers too Meatlike - Edit
Our dinner here was pleasant, but noisy. The upstairs is slightly less noisy than below. The maitake steamed bun (open) was very good, as was the potato soup. I tried the PS Burger, which uses Beyond Burger. It was a little too meat like for me, I prefer a more traditional vegan burger. The desserts were good - we had a very dense mousse pie, a nice apple cobbler and some ice cream. Service was excellent.

Great find! Great concept! - Edit
We were in town to attend the theater on the evening of Halloween. This restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the Richard Rogers Theater. Food was delicious and staff was very helpful and friendly. Profits go to local and international charities.F

Overpriced and tasteless - Edit
The farro bowl was overpriced, small and tasteless without the very oily dressing and hot sauce. The avocado toast was noting special and also overpriced. My lunch cost $35 and I left still hungry!

Cons: Expensive , The only seasoning was in a very oily dressing, Small portions

Stopped by for dinner and was delighted. Beautiful decor, friendly staff, great food and an excellent drinks menu. If only I’d room for dessert.

Great “Knock-off” place - Edit
Excellent service. Trendy atmosphere. Fried Artichoke appetizer. I had lasagna (delicious with vegan ricotta), and my friend had pot pie (Soupie but also great). We had brownie with ice cream and cheesecake for dessert.

Underwhelming - Edit
I had been dying to try 100% vegan PS Kitchen since booking a cruise in 2016 and New York being the first port.
Read moreI chose a Green Goddess salad to share with my husband, it was nice but not mind blowing and overpriced in my opinion, but this is New York prices.
The Beyond Burger, served on a brioche bun was not the substantial dish I was expecting either, so regretted ordering only a salad starter.
The burger itself is quite amazing, reminiscent of the burgers I would help my mum make at home, when I was a kid. The last photo shows how meat like it is, with a lean, moist texture, it was a pretty [censored] fine burger, although I was hesitant it would be too meaty in flavour, but I found it subtle, otherwise I would have struggled to eat it. However I thought the accompaniments were a let down, the burger was the star of the show.
They had no gluten free buns, so poor hubby had to make do with the burger wrapped in blanched lettuce leaves, not ideal however he was here purely for the burger and it matched up to his expectations.
We could not resist brownie with coconut ice cream, which we shared, as we were headed back to the ship, for a four course dinner later. This was an awesome dessert, chocolate and coconut are a perfect combination and with the caramel drizzle, we were both licking our lips.
I enjoyed PS Kitchen, though sadly I think my expectations got the better of me and I left feeling underwhelmed.

J'ai essayé leur BBQ burger et franchement... Dans le style imitation de steak grillé façon barbecue, aussi bien dans les saveurs que dans la texture, c'est le meilleur burger que j'ai goûté ! Pour le moment...

Great dinner spot - Edit
I ate at P.S. once, the decor is great and this is a fancier restaurant than most NYC vegan places (and pricier) so it's good for a date or before a show or for a birthday celebration. I tried a burger which was pretty good but not my favorite thing ever so I would try the lasagna next time just to have something new.

Yeah baby. Chickn Caesar - Edit
I haven’t had a chicken Caesar since going vegan. I couldn’t resist. It was fabulous. The chicken was like a schnitzel. I paired it with a glass of Rose. Yum. Desert was a brownie and desert wine.

We went here right before a matinee of Waitress. The decor was modern, clean, and inviting. The waitstaff were all very friendly without being abrasive. To start we had the potato soup, which was delicious. For lunch we had a Green Goddess salad, perfectly dressed and well balanced, and the Bratwurst, which had a great pretzel bun, crispy thin cut fries, and a sausage that a meat eater didn’t realize was vegan. Great experience! Looking forward to coming back the next time we are in NYC and near the theater.

A stunning vegan restaurant! - Edit
PS Kitchen is clean and modern, with an unrivalled friendly service and a really rather special menu. I opted for my first try of the cult ‘Beyond Burger’, which I was so excited about, and the house truffle fries.
Read moreThe Beyond Burger was scarily realistic, so much so that my meat-eating friend said she wouldn’t have known it wasn’t meat! It came served with queso, thousand island and fries. Yes we ordered double fries. Don’t judge us, we were carbing up ready for a strenuous flight home to the UK….
The house truffle fries were literally TO DIE FOR.
To be honest I think I may have almost died because I ate so many of the delicious little critters. We just couldn’t stop eating them! The truffle flavour is like nothing else on the planet and they were salty and crispy and incredibly, incredibly delicious.
The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and the service was the best we experienced in our trip to NYC. Fab all round AND they donate their profits to charity - could it get any better?
Pros: They donate profits to charity, The truffle fries are incredible, Best service in NYC!

Wanted to love it - Edit
I wanted to love PS Kitchen. An upscale vegan joint in the heart of midtown? Yes please. The atmosphere is nice, and the servers are really warm. I love the mission—100% of the profits are given to charity. That’s what we consoled ourselves with after we paid the high-end tab for what is essentially pub food. It tastes fine, but sadly nothing inventive. We had the crispy artichokes, which I expected to be tempura style, but instead were deep-fried beyond recognition and so hot they were difficult to taste. The orzo and lasagna were fine, but nothing special. I would go back for a drink, but I certainly wouldn’t take non-vegan friends here to impress with vegan food. It pains me to write this, it’s the first negative review I’ve given on HC, but a vegan place in Times Square could be such an opportunity to open people’s minds to vegan cuisine. Feels like a missed opportunity.
