Vegan pastries- Need you say more - Edit
We had breakfast, lunch and a 3 course evening meal here. The food is incredible and feels lovingly prepared. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself sits beautifully high up in the canopy of the trees.
Read moreThe pastries were stunning, the brioche bun with pistachio was superb and so soft.
The sushi was awesome and the tuna sushi bowl was super delicious 😋
Honestly don't bother to go anywhere else, this place has it all with an outstanding menu and everything is presented with care on the plate.
I only wish there was a vegan restaurant like this in my city back in the UK.
Thank you for making our trip to Ubud extra special guys.
Pros: The view, The selection choice , The flavours and presentation

100% plant best! - Edit
Had a great dinner with our family here. Dishes all vegan, and everything (even to the cola) made in house. Great pizza, sushi and more traditional nasi dishes and deserts to die for! A little higher in price though we ate with a family of five for 1.2mil rp. Great service, nice staff and great ambiance. Highly recommend.

They got so many main dishes and desserts! I had pumpkin gnocci with walnuts and bamboocoal parmesan and a sugarfree pannacotta with blueberry jam. The staff was really nice and asked me if I have any allergies.

This place is such a delight. There’s everything from steak to burritos to sushi to desserts that a vegan might crave for. The portion sizes are huge and the prices not bad at all. Worth coming back to Bali just for this!

A beautiful vegan treat - Edit
Came back to Ubud and visited Plant Bistro again and they never disappoint! Food is lovely and portions are healthy. Wanted to eat as much as I can but always end up packing the leftovers (not a bad thing cos I can continue the joy the next day).
Read moreWhen you arrive at the restaurant, you’re immediately greeted by a wide array of patisserie and it’s just a delight for vegans to know there are so many dessert options available. And the kicker: THEY ALL TASTE GREAT!
The restaurant is perched atop a hill and take in the beautiful scenic view while you enjoy an equally-delightful meal. Plant Bistro is a must-visit for me every time I’m in Ubud now.
Pros: Wide selection of food, Lots of dessert , Lovely staff

Tasty vegan food with a view! - Edit
I really loved the fancy or up-tier vibe this restaurant gave. It also had an incredible view which I did not expect on until we arrived.
Read moreThe food has more western offerings, but I enjoyed it as a different dish to normal in Bali.
However, the muhammara dip was heavenly, I really want to come back just for that! It was a roasted capsicum dip and gorgeous pita bread.
Then I ordered a “not pepperoni” pizza and Pesto lasagne!
The pepperoni has a little spice and it was lovely, the pizza base felt wood fired and so good.
The lasagne was creamy and a lot of pasta !
The most delicious though was dessert! I really enjoyed the chocolate lava cake, I cannot find a vegan cake like this at home.
I went back to the hotel STUFFED! So divine and so lush. Worth a visit!
Pros: Ambience , Dessert
Cons: Pricy for Bali

Was definitely one of my favourites in Ubud. Visited several times across two trips. Absolutely loved the gnocci. The pizza was delicious, too, along with so many other dishes we tried. The only dish I wasn't so keen on was the French toast.

Very impressive interior design and views of Ubud - Edit
When I entered this place, I was amazed by the look of the place. It's set high in the mountains as if you were dining in a jungle. There is a nice view from this restaurant where you can observe down below the regular lives of people in Ubud. I spotted a raccoon visiting me while I ate but thankfully it didn't disturb me. I ordered the Carbonara Tofu Scramble, which was excellent and very tasty. I also ordered the Aromatic Golden Latte and ABC Ginger juice, and both these beverages were acceptable but not spectacular.

Aesthetic Ambience with Creative Vegan Offerings - Edit
Plant Bistro delivers a memorable dining experience in Ubud with its stylish design, relaxing atmosphere, and scenic views. The menu offers plenty of variety, including starters, mains, and baked goods, with creative drink options rounding out the meal.
Read moreWe began with the Golden Mushrooms and edamame hummus, both of which were fresh and flavourful—a great start to the meal. For mains, the Mascarpone pizza and Capricciosa pizza were decent, though not quite the stars of the show. They had good flavour but fell slightly short of expectations compared to the level of other pizza offerings around ubud, leaving them in the “solid but not spectacular” category.
The bakery, however, is where Plant Bistro truly shines. We left with a selection of goodies, including a chocolatin, croissant, and two Maritozzi brioche buns filled with coconut cream and custard. These were absolutely indulgent and left a lasting impression.
With many diners raving about the sushi, it’s clear there’s much more to explore on the menu. Plant Bistro offers an overall enjoyable experience with plenty of highlights, and while the pizzas didn’t quite hit the mark, there’s enough variety to ensure every visit is deliciously different.

Review for Plant Bistro, Bali
Read morePlant Bistro in Bali is truly one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Every dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The eggplant pizza is a standout, with perfectly roasted eggplant and a savory, delicious crust. The golden fried mushrooms are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a must-try appetizer.
For dessert, the chocolate lava cake is pure indulgence, rich and decadent, and absolutely satisfying. Don’t miss the gelato, which is creamy and refreshing, or their generous selection of vegan pastries that are perfect for any sweet tooth.
The atmosphere is relaxed, yet chic, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Plant Bistro offers an unforgettable plant-based dining experience that never disappoints. If you’re in Bali, it’s a must-visit! #Veganuary
