Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Amazing food, so much choice, and big portions too (my photo shows 5 snacks / starters which we ordered between 3 hungry adults - way too much food for us all, and we were so sad to not finish it as it was delicious). Very lovely sweet friendly staff with excellent English. Really great place (worth the epic climb up steps and cobbled streets haha).

As such not a let down at all, it is very nice and a great place ! Just that all the reviews makes one expect something more always ! So just come here for good tasty food and ambience and if u r a vegan u have choices !! The portions are hearty and good for one person !!

Fantastic - Great food, and inexpensive - Edit
Ate dinner here. Got the nachos (fantastic) and the chick pea tacos (slightly spicy but very tasty, filling and nourishing) - nothing junk foody about the tacos. It is a proper dinner ! Even the nachos were far better (much less fat) than what I am used to in the US !

I tried the jackfruit pizza and was not disappointed. The Neapolitan pizza dough was nicely puffed and the cheese melted.

Himalayan spicy Momo’s were spicy and full of flavor. Vegan nachos have a tasty cheese sauce. Large portions. Homemade chocolate ice cream is delicious. Friendly hip environment! A must if you visit Lisbon!

Tried their mushroom pizza and it was ok but nothing special. Service was very slow, even though there were just a couple of people in the whole place - the staff would not come to check on us.

We ordered for delivery twice, the night before Lisbon Half Marathon with pizzas to share... the mushroom one in particular was so good!!! Fueled up ready to fly, and then post Half refuelled with a tasty special vegan burger that definitely did the trick. Tasty and quick service.

Kind staff, nice decor, and a big menu with plenty of choices at Plant Base. I had the pizza with mushrooms. The base was more soft than crispy, but still had a great texture and flavour. Wish I could have tried more from the menu. A must visit when in Lisbon.
