Is it really Junk food? - Edit
Nestled within the Chiado district, Plant Base presents a concealed entrance that may easily be overlooked, as I initially did. However, upon entering, a remarkable transformation occurs. The interior is spacious and features two distinct dining areas: one situated near the entrance and the other situated around the corner, adjacent to the bar.
Read moreWhile the description of Plant Base suggests that it serves “junk food,” I strongly disagree. The culinary offerings here are exceptional. I have visited Plant Base twice within a week, and each time, I have been pleasantly surprised.
On my first visit, I indulged in The Special Burger, a delectable creation featuring a Beyond Burger patty, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, fried onions, tomatoes, cucumber pickles, and sriracha mayonnaise, all nestled on a red onion bun.
On my second visit, I opted for the JHOL MOMO, a culinary masterpiece consisting of steamed Himalayan Momos immersed in a delectable tomato curry, complemented by red onions and cilantro.
In my opinion, I have discovered my favorite Plant Base dish. The JHOL MOMO boasts a harmonious blend of flavors, with a touch of heat that resonated with my preferences. Its deep, rich taste left me thoroughly satisfied.

Um bom espaço para quem gosta de fast e junk food. Pedimos o pão de alho, o mac n' cheese, o hambúrguer com bacon vegetal e a pizza de batata e salsicha. Adorei tudo menos a pizza, achei-a gordurosa demais. O molho picante que veio com o hambúrguer é delicioso.

Had a pizza and nachos ordered to our hotel and it was just some low quality junk food sorry. The pizza was a full sized pizza and they didn’t cut it into slices and we had no utensils so we just had to eat it whole lol and the nachos were just not very good, barely any toppings

Went by for a lunch and had pizzas, the homemade iced tea and a tiramisu, which was such a nice option. Delicious pizzas and I surely loved the fungees with loads of mushrooms. So good! The sweetest service also. Highly recommend.

We tried the Special Burger (decent, nothing particularly memorable and definitely not special) and the Seitanitas Tacos, which were good. The highlight was the very tasty garlic bread. Overall, it was okay, satisfying for a casual meal or quick bite, but not quite as exciting as I expected.

It’s not often you have a selection of momos to choose from! We ordered momos and tempeh tacos that all hit the spot. On a hot day it was pretty warm in there so try to get a spot near the window. Friendly but inattentive staff; we were going to get mousse and tiramisu for dessert but had to wait so long for waitstaff that we gave up, paid at the counter, and left.

Excellent Vegan Restaurant in Lisbon - Edit
We found Plant Base while doing a tourist walk. They had a varied menu, all of which sounded delicious. We opted for their Special Burger served on home-made red onion roll. French fries were included on the plate. The food was nicely served and delicious, among the best that we have had while traveling in Spain and Portugal for a month. We had positive comments from other diners who had pizza.

Small and delightful lunch spot - order the Mac and Cheese! - Edit
After a hot midday stroll up and down the hills we ended up here and were pleasantly surprised. The service was lovely, the shade inside much appreciated and the food was delicious. We had steamed Momos and the Mac and Cheese, which was so good we wolfed it down before we remembered to take a picture. Just take my word for it - the cheese sauce was very well balanced and not at all sticky or gloopy like some artificial cheese bases tend to be. The offered lemonade (Why Not) was the best non-homemade we've had during our stay. Highly recommend to swing by when you are in the area.
