Serves meat, vegan options available. General Italian restaurant with a range of non-pizza vegetarian options, all labelled 'verdura.' Open Mon-Sun 11:30-15:30, 17:30-00:00.
I had a good experience at this restaurant. Even if vegan options are not clearly identified, the allergens are stated clearly so it’s easy to spot dairy and eggs.
There are some pasta dishes available, and all the vegetables pizzas (spinach, mushrooms or mixed vegetables) can be made vegan if you ask to leave the cheese out ;-)
The pizza was quite good
Well, not unfriendly but definitely not welcoming. Food was ok (not good) but definitely not matching the price. Had to explain to a getting slightly annoyed waiter what Vegan is. Will not come again.
Went to Pizza IL Sole expecting vegan options to be clearly identified but they are not - there are different letters that correspond to different allergens: A = gluten, B = fish (maybe, I don’t remember specifically), etc. I asked the waiter if there was anything on the menu that didn’t contain letters B through G and the waiter just asked me what I couldn’t eat. I said eggs, dairy, and meat. He offered risotto (after reading the first review here I wish I had the risotto!) and I said I was fine with pizza and vegetables and no cheese. The service was prompt and it was decent pizza. Nothing overly delicious but a decent vegan option in Salzburg!
Waiter did not know what "vegan" meant and thought we had kind of an allergy. We ordered pizza without cheese. Was medium quality with canned mushrooms
The food is very good and the owner/chef/waitress is very kind and will make a lot of the dishes vegan style. We were in Salzburg for 1 and a half day and went there twice! Strongly recommend!!
We despaired finding veggie food after about 7pm at night, but this was a joyous discovery - very friendly - apart from the usual veggie pizzas, they did probably the best risotto verdura we've ever tasted, lasagne and fettuccine. So good we went back on a very wet night - they were right next to the trolley bus stop for lift to the MDM, museum for modern arts.
