Decent Cheap Tamales - Edit
I happened to see this place while walking down the street earlier today. Clearly marked vegan tamales…..count me in! I bought 5 different kinds to take home with me. I’ve had 2 and can say that they’re good and definitely good enough to get again. At only 20 pesos a piece, I’m down. Worth a shot for sure if you’re nearby.

What I liked best at Pili's was the luscious atole drink with guava and the friendliness of the owner. The tamales were ok as snack, but in flavour and texture regular. Vegan options are clearly listed, I had mushrooms with mole and mixed vegetables and liked the last one better.

Clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan options. Very cheap, really nice to have vegan options of traditional food. The tamales themselves were just okay. The best was the seta con chile guajillo. On google maps it's still la kermes.

I had two good vegan Tamales and a sweet one - for 20 pesos each. If you're very hungry take 3 to 4 of them. Nice owner.

The champiñones con mole were my favorite ones I tried. Best tamales I’ve had outside of CDMX. Like most things, the salsa makes its so much better as well.

Great cheap tamales - Edit
Was delicious - we had a few vegan options. One sweet, one in a torts and regular mushrooms. Everything was very good, nice salsa and very nice and fast service.
