No Need To Be So Peru-d

Playful, colourful and quirky - all apt descriptors for the aesthetic, but all antonyms for the general attitude of the staff. Feeling as though I was more an imposing interloper than a welcomed guest, I hesitantly took my seat and contemplated whether or not I should actually continue on this culinary endeavour. However, curiosity for a new cuisine, plus the fact that I schlepped out my way to specifically try this location, compelled me to persevere.
Having done my due diligence online, I was excited to try a number of intriguing-sounding dishes, but upon receiving the menu I found that my prior intel gathering had been for nought and that now the vegan options were as much in short supply as the pleasantries were from the staff. With only one thing to shoot for, the tofu saltado, it was this that I inevitably selected.
Very begrudgingly, I have to admit, it was delicious. A decent serving, with an abundance of excellent flavours and textures, it was an accomplished plate of food. This turn of events caused me to have feelings akin to when your dog befouls the carpet - you want to be mad at it, but it’s so damn adorable that you can’t help but forgive it almost instantly.
As pleasurable as the actual dining experience was in the end, based on the general level of service, coupled with the dearth of choices, I find it difficult to throw my recommendation behind this place.

Quite good

I had a Peruvian bowl with coconut rice, which was pretty tasty. I wish I was here in the summer when you can dine outside in something of a “Lima style” street corner. A few choices of tapas/main dishes for vegans and vegetarians. Wide variety of drinks. Staff is young and friendly.
