Disappointing - Edit
It's great that the restaurant has a separate vegan menu, however the vegan dishes are disappointing.
Read moreMy starter of spinach bites was nice but it went down hill from there. The vegetable skewers consisted of peppers, mushrooms, onions (great), and beetroot (I love beetroot but this one tasted like the earth itself). The veg was not marinated so it was dry and tasteless (except the dirt flavour of the beetroot). Courgettes would be a nice addition to make it less dry, and tofu for some nice vegan protein.
The cajun chips that came with it were extremely salty, side salad drowning in a very sweet dressing. My favourite part was the tomato salsa which they forgot about and I had to ask for.
Another vegan starter was potato wedges with salsa, quite uninventive as a starter. The main dish was sausage and mash, five sausages but not very nice, in a pool of gravy.
Portions were huge, but sadly lacked taste.
The non vegan dishes looked (and supposedly tasted) great. Shame the same thought was not put into designing the vegan menu.

Seperate vegan menu - Edit
Had a nice lunch in Pendulum, good selection on the seperate vegan menu and food was tasty. Staff were friendly and restaurant looked lovely.
