Delicious pasta - Edit
I loved the pasta here. I chose the pasta in artichoke sauce and it was super creamy and delicious. The cheese starter was great and so was the chocolate pudding.

Plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians here. I got the mushroom ravioli and my partner got the pea and mint pesto pasta. For dessert I had the salame di cioccolato. All dishes were delicious!

inventive vegan options - Edit
Lovely amazing vegan options. Great service. Many vegan pasta options in omni restaurants can be same-y and get very boring. Pasta Factory offers an alternative to the very familiar vegan offerings while remaining authentic. Great for groups or for a date.

Excellent - Edit
I first reviewed this place in 2015 and it's better than it was then. It's still relaxed and friendly with good service. The food is exceptionally good but the portion sizes are now better. It's still the best Italian food I've had outside Italy.

Great Ravioli! - Edit
I tried this place today for the first time. I had ‘TRIANGOLI DI SPINACI E PATATE SU CREMA DI ZUCCHINE E BASILICO’ (Spinach & potato ravioli with Cashew & basil pesto and deep fried courgette.) Really pleased with it - they make their own Vegan Parmesan as well! The server forgot one of our drinks but the food was really good so we didn’t care. Would definitely go again.

Delicious meal - Edit
Finally got around to trying the food here and I was so impressed. Vegan Italian fare can be hit and miss for me (sometimes relying too much on marinara) so it was a real delight to have a proper range of fully vegan options including a full vegan cheese board! My spinach and potato triangoli was delicious, and the courgette sauce it was served on might have actually persuaded me to love courgettes. Exceptionally tasty, will definitely be back!

We went here for my mum's birthday. They had fantastic vegan options for every course (including amazing almond cheese as a starter) which were really carefully both marked on the menu and explained by the friendly staff. My meat eating but dairy avoiding family were also impressed!

Delicious, attentive & real Italian - Edit
Vegan me and omni husband have been several times, it was easily our favourite place in Manchester. The service was always attentive and friendly, the staff is knowledgeable about veganism in general and Italian food especially, including vegan food/wine pairings! The choice and quality of the food is truly excellent. Truffle ravioli, bruschetta, fresella, cashew courgette bucatini, spaghetti, homemade vegan cheese... They also serve vegan desserts and liquors. Nice vibe and real Italian atmosphere (trust me, I'm Italian). Can't recommend enough.

Try it once when you're flush - Edit
Went in for lunch. Had a vegan ravioli with a type of truffle sauce and cashew cheese filling. The pasta and cheese were both fresh and tasty and I was offered home-made vegan Parmesan cheese to go with it. Only issue I had was the serving size. For over £13 I could have eaten 3 times the amount and actually went for a sandwich after as was still hungry.

went there with my vegan friends and we all were really happy with food! for starters we had vegan cheese with crackers and let me tell you that this cheese is bloody amazing! (and i dropped half of my slice on the floor, gutted still) plus caponata which was not really wow but there was nothing wrong with it. for the mains we just took all the vegan pastas that they had and we all shared them. all the pasta dishes were packed with flavour, i can’t really pick my favourite one! and huge plus for the vegan parmesan cheese!! staff was very nice and helpful.

Excellent choices for vegans and vegetarians - Edit
I guess the only problem with the Pasta Factory is that it's in the wrong place. It's about 100 yards north of Shudehill Metrolink, facing the Crowne Plaza hotel so it's a little out of the city centre proper. At 6pm on a Tuesday evening, there were only a handful of people in there but it meant we got great service, attentive but not intrusive. If they were on Deansgate, I think they'd be packed to the doors from opening time till closing.
It's not the cheapest restaurant in Manchester but the food is a total win for vegans and vegetarians. It's refreshing to find an Italian-style restaurant that isn't based around pizzas. Everything here is a pasta dish, and very high quality too. There is a good selection of mains and desserts all clearly marked as vegan/vegetarian, and quite a few "specials" on the chalk-board.
Do try the mushroom ravioli or the spelt pasta, both of which are excellent. Don't forget to sample a big spoonful of their addictive vegan parmesan too - they're already well-known for this.

pleasantly surprised - Edit
We were recommended Pasta Factory by a friend and we were really surprised. They had respect for vegans and asked us immediately if we were vegetarian or vegan then provided amazing options for us which were all clearly labelled on the menu. The bread and olive board was the best I've had. The fresh pasta options were also nice but could definitely use some improving as it lacked the decadent taste I was looking for and it was more 'healthy' tasting. The desserts were similar - very nice but very healthy tasting.

Awesome Vegan Pasta Options - Edit
Heard great reports about the Pasta Factory, so had high expectations, which they exceeded. Had cannellini bean and mushroom soup to start, so velvety and smooth, it was delicious. I had the mushroom ravioli for mains...this was such a light delicate pasta with loads of filling in a delicious porcini and truffle sauce, a gorgeous dish. They offer vegan cheese and Parmesan too with several dessert options, chocolate ravioli which is always on the menu and as specials there were blueberry cheesecake and chocolate sorbet. All wines and beers are vegan friendly too, which makes life so much easier. Highly recommended.

Delicious Italian Food - Edit
Pasta Factory is really conveniently located in town and is a really nice Italian restaurant. They have 3-4 vegan options on the menu for mains, plus a vegan antipasti option and one vegan dessert, alongside a sorbet. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was divine: so flavoursome an creamy. And we even got a pot of vegan parmesan for the table too! For dessert I had the chocolate ravioli, which was really nice, if not quite as dazzling as the main course.

Authentic italian pasta, delicious! They have lots of interesting vegan dishes including with ravioli and pasta with creamy sauces. All their vegan dishes are clearly labelled vegan. They also have vegan wine. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Yes, the portions are on the small side and it's not cheap, but worth every penny.
