We went in and had a beer (delicious) and asked the server if they had any pastas they could make without dairy and meat, there was one chef there who was in earshot and gladly said he could.
The pasta was delicious, one was a pesto spaghetti dish and one was a spicy oily pasta. We will definitely be going back for more during the trip.
Pros: chilli oil pasta , pesto pasta , beer

I asked about vegan menus and they prepared the pasta genovese without cheese to make it vegan for me. It was very delicious

Good pasta - Edit
They don’t have vegan menu. My boyfriend and I had peperonchino and genovase for dinner, and they were happy to customize it for us.

Willing, but not always able - Edit
Pasta Bar Makita is listed on Happy Cow as "serves meat, but is willing to prepare vegan or vegetarian meals on demand". Being in the neighbourhood and having tried most other restaurants, we decided to give Makita a try.
Read moreIt is a small, very cosy looking place and the staff is very welcoming. When asking for vegan or vegetarian food, this was certainly understood. They even asked whether it should be vegan or vegetarian, indicating the vegan would limit the possibilities severely. We ordered a vegetarian pasta and a vegetarian risotto.
The vegetarian pasta was very simple: green pasta (from the dressing) with some cheese on top. The vegetarian risotto was more like Japanese "omurice" (rice wrapped in an omelette). It had some onions and one or two pieces of asparagus in it. The taste was okay, but it wasn't anything like risotto.
The price, including two drinks, was 3.700 yen which I found very expensive.
Pros: cosy place
Cons: by no means specialised in vegan or vegetarian, expensive (absolutely not worth it)

Delish! - Edit
Cute little restaurant with lovely staff. Pasta with tomato and basil and margi pizza were both delish! Cooked in the small kitchen in front of you. Servings were small but prices were too so if you’re a big eater just order double.
