Not my favorite… - Edit
I had the soba noodles. Maybe I just chose the wrong dish and it was my mistake, but I didn‘t like it very much.. the soba I know has more taste

Komaki Shokudo Kamakura Fukushikian - Edit
The restaurant offered a variety of vegan Japanese set meals - choose main dish and rice ( you can choose size and type of rice like azuki brown rice or regular rice) and traditional Japanese side dishes

Great place to enjoy Japanese traditional meal and sweets, you can make it healthier if you opt brown rice
I went to lunch which is cheaper but dinner has more selections of dishes and also dessert!
If you want to eat dessert ( I wanted to eat grilled dango which you can grill at the table ) you need to book!

Good food - Edit
The udon meal was good, the location isn't very comfortable because you can hear and feel trains while you eat. But the staff was very friendly.

Good vegan find 🌱 - Edit
Great vegan take on a traditional Japanese dish. I had to look up the correct steps to eating this dish but once orientated it was yummy.

Inconsistently delicious - Edit
We took the large set menu, offering a wide range of dishes. Some of which, e.g. the Miso soup and the fake meats, were delicious. The salad was good too. Side dishes and dessert were underwhelming.

Pros: Convenience, Overall good taste, Healthy components

Tastey vegan food, maybe a tiny bit pricey - Edit
Very tastey udon and karaage meal set. We paid 2200 and 2310 for each meal set, which is about 500 more than we have paid at similar places. The food was yummy and substantial. Very grateful to have an all vegan option. We will order the cheesecake and I plan to update the review after.
Read moreUpdate: Cheesecake was tastey, though it didn't taste anything like what I remember cheesecake tasting like (including the vegan cheesecakes I've had over the years). Rich matcha flavor. Do recommend

Good and nice variety - Edit
I liked this place but didn’t *love* it. I got the soy meat karaage set and it was fun to try a nice variety of things. Flavours were just okay. Dessert was okay.

Truly impressive - Edit
An unforgettable experience.
Read moreThis restaurant serves a fully vegan menu with gluten free options.
I got the full meal with a mix of the different dishes they offer: first it is beautiful to see, and it is also delicious.
I went there with a non-vegan colleague and he was truly impressed with the food.
It is located in the Chabara shopping mall next to the bridge underpass, across UDX building. It closes quite early during the week so make sure you check out the opening times before going

All vegan!! Try and see what you like! - Edit
Got quite a bit of food to try. Not everything was so my personal liking but very excited I was able to try everything there without any worries. The karaage has a nice breading flavor and texture. The icecream and mousse desserts were delicious, strongly recommended those.

Good—just not great - Edit
This place was really unique in that it was not only vegan, but they also didn’t use onions, leeks, garlic, and a few other alliums. With that being said, we personally found the food to be a little bit lacking in flavor. Everything, in our opinion, was just kind of on the bland side. Both my husband and I like punchy and strong flavors and most everything was really basic. The service was great and the presentation was really lovely. Everything was very fresh and we can certainly appreciate this unique style of culinary cuisine, but it just wasn’t quite right for us.

Food’s stellar, prices are not. - Edit
I’ll be honest, the food was good. Very good, in fact. Thought out, well prepared and it was clear that this was a serious kitchen, both in terms of skill and knowledge.
Read moreTheir curry, despite it being a small portion of the lunch set, was easily the best curry I’ve had in Japan. Seasoning and spice quality second to none. I’d go on about the rest of the food, which I sampled a decent amount of, but just trust me that it’s good.
The prices, however, especially for the lunch sets, were just high enough that it was slightly out of touch with the overall experience. Service was lackluster and indifferent from all workers I talked to, interior hopelessly boring and almost worked against the food (a table literally broke next to be whilst eating), and you will end up feeling a bit discouraged when paying at the register.
Fix the prices, targeted at vegan tourists with money, ( the dreadful interior) and it’s an easy five ⭐️’s.
Pros: Taste combinations, Seasoning, Skill involved
Cons: Prices, Interior, Service

Wonderful lunch set! - Edit
We had a bit of a miscommunication with ordering and they only gave us one Karaage set and then one katsu set but it was a happy coincidence because they were both delicious! Highly recommend coming here. Very wholesome meal with a whole lot of flavour.

Best restaurant I went to in Japan - Edit
The karaage was unreal - were it not for the menu being fully vegan, I’d be questioning if it was meat!
Read moreThere were only 3 places I went to twice during my 3-week trip around Japan, with the other 2 being purely for convenience.
I cannot recommend this place enough
