Home cooked meal in Bruges - Edit
Home cooked mediterranean and North African food by the owner and his wife in a casual, relaxed setting with an outdoor garden. Exceptionally tasty with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the soup of the day which was a pureed vegetable soup perfectly spiced with herbs (vegan) and a vegetable tagline (vegan) with lentils and coos coos - outstanding. Great to get a home cooked meal while traveling. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were warmly welcomed here by the owner who is clearly passionate about his cultural/food heritage (and enjoys discussing music with any other enthusiast)! I enjoyed a vegan meal (my preference) while my husband was pleased he could order a delicious lamb option (very tender meat paired with figs and mint). We recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in an introduction to the Egyptian kitchen (and definitely don't forget to order the karkadiez tea!).

It was really nice that the owner asked us if we were vegan or vegetarian, and pointed out their vegan options. It was also nice he was pretty unfazed by our son throwing a massive tantrum. The food was tasty, but also a little simple and bland and heated in the microwave. But if you want something fast, vegan and not too unhealthy this is a nice place.

Very friendly host who was knowledgeable about vegan food. I had the koshary and then a fruit salad made up specially for me from fresh fruit. There were other vegan options on the menu, but I specifically went there because I wanted to have the koshary which I had seen on the sign outside - and Egyptian speciality. I was not disappointed. My husband who is not vegan had it too, and he agreed with me. We have eaten it in Egypt, London and made it at home. It was up there with the best we have had.

Lovely little place which has a few vegan selections. If you tell the owner you are vegan he will make sure you know which menu items are suitable for you. He even has vegan lollies for after the meal. I had the koshwary (not sure of spelling), an Egyptian lentil, rice, pasta, chickpea dish, which was massive and very filling.

We were seated outside in the backyard, which was a bit calmer and had more shade than the seats in front. I had the eggplant salad and the vegan couscous and both were really tasty.

The location is very inviting and you are greeted immediately with a nice welcome by the chef. Lots of different options to choose from with both vegetarian and also vegan options which are marked on the menu. Drinks are very cheap and main dishes range from 12-17€. Waiting time is also really good!

We met a very friendly chef, spontaneous offering the vegan options. The plate size was a bit limited, tasted not so freshly prepared and I got the impression that we were eating microwave heated food. A putty. The fresh version could have been amazing.

We ordered the vegan tajine and potato salad! It was good and the quantity was quite good. The guy at the restaurant was very nice and he offered discount because we were taking the food away! They have a spicy chilli saus I think home made- that was my favourite 😍

Very personnal and friendly welcome. You immediatly feel at ease. There are multiple vegan options and the staff is well aware of what we could choose. I ate the vegan couscous which was delicious! I recommend!

The place is great, very cozy and they are really nice and welcoming. The food is AMAZING and all the vegan options are marked as such (and the differentiate between vegan and vegetarian!). The price is the average (12-16 per dish, as everywhere else). Really, if you are vegan and in Bruges, come eat here.

I was looking for some vegetarian/vegan food for my lunch and came across this restaurant. Although it is not a vegetarian restaurant it does have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the eggplant salad as a takeaway, which was absolutely delicious, in fact so good that I returned the next day for more! Coincidently it is on the same street as a vegan restaurant, of which the menu did not look as appetising. I definitely recommend eating at Passion for Food restaurant, the owners are so friendly, they are Egyptian and Algerian and this is reflected in the menu. I am sure that the other meals would not disappoint but unfortunately we were only in Bruges for 2 days so I did not get to sample anything else. But if I am ever in Bruges again I know where to get good food.
