Hearthy tofu stew - Edit
The tofu stew was the perfect dish on this chilly night. The lovely ladies understood the Papago-translation that I don't eat animals and I'm pretty sure the broth was safe as well (like the review below points out), with vegetable broth.
Read moreJust don't eat the fishcakes which come as a side dish. These are the flat, rectangular shaped slices: at first I thought it was bamboo. It is not.
Only 10k and with neverending plates of side dishes.

It seems like this is a family owned restaurant , and the staff are always kind. You can refill the side dishes and extra rice only costs 1,000 won. I have asked and the perilla tofu soup doesn’t have fish or meat broth, and it’s a unique version that I haven’t had elsewhere. It’s got bean sprouts, mushrooms, and red pepper flakes, which is not common. They also have a plain tofu soup, and I would also ask if the chongukjang is vegan
