We came across Oscars on our last day in Tokyo. They are on Uber Eats but it was hard to tell if it was vegan until I found them on Happy Cow. We ordered a bunch of combo plates for delivery and it did not disappoint. We had the orange chicken, walnut shrimp, beef and broccoli , Kung pao chicken, and fried rice. The portions are small compared to the United States (similarly to Panda Express) but the portions were perfect and got our family full.

Amazing Chinese-Style foods - Edit
Might have been one of my favourite places we visited during our Tokyo-stay. Everything tasted great and I am continually amazed at how they managed to nail all the tastes, from kung pao to general tso ”chicken”.

Wish I could of went here more! I went once in May 2024. Got the fried rice, noodles and 2 types of chicken (i think it was general tso and orange chicken if i remember right) and really enjoyed it all! Loved the fried rice a lot!

Unbelievable Mock Chicken - Edit
One of the best versions of General Tso's chicken I have ever tried. Really well priced options, able to get a deluxe plate for eat in 1600 yen tax, with a noodle/rice base and 3 proteins. The orange chicken, General Tso's and Kung Pao chicken are all incredible - had to get a second plate!

Vegan Chinese with Great Vibes - Edit
Delicious Chinese food all made plant based. Got a platter with broccoli beef and general chicken with chow mien and egg rolls and it dis not disappoint. Staff is super friendly and English friendly as well. It was only a 20 minute train ride from Shinjuku station as well for those feeling it’s too far.

Oscar really does the American Chinese restaurant experience well. It’s a classic, combo plate fill style, but one that doesn’t leave your gut feeling terrible afterwards.

you get so much food for the price, it’s all so well seasoned and cooked and truly just so delicious! the spicy peanut noodles as a side were awesome- and they’re adding new vegan mains still! we loved it! we saw the reviews about it being cold and were worried- but it was totally fine. some of the items were less hot than a typical restaurant for sure, but nothing wasn’t WARM- and also, they have a sign right at the counter that says to let them know if you need it heated up more! easy fix for anyone worried. anyways- great vibey all-vegan spot and you get more than your yen’s worth! totally reccomend.

Read moreEverything was solid. Super affordable, the taste was good, the portions were big, and the protein serving was generous! You know that last part is important if you eat vegan in Tokyo.
Staff speaks perfect English and all menu items are clear as day.
Definitely recommend this spot if you are in the area!

After a morning of traveling and shopping it was nice finding this place and having a very DELICIOUS meal. Had the chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, general tso chicken, broccoli beef. Then wanted some comfort food so I had an order of French fries.

Oscar is my go-to for a quick splurge meal. It's so great to have access to a place that nails the American Chinese taste here in Shimokita. The staff are all lovely and the vibe is really neat, so 5 stars even though the food tends to be a bit cold.

I recommend the excellent homemade lemonade over the pink lemonade soda, which appears to just be Hi-C. (Unless you like Hi-C.)

It’s great that this place offers so many options you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere. But personally, I didn’t find it as good as most reviews say. The food was only lukewarm, and I expected more from the flavor. It was good, just not incredible.
