Organic Excellence…! - Edit
When we were in Lisbon, we couldn’t resist checking out the vegan spots on Happy Cow. One of the top-rated restaurants we found was Organi Chiado, which is just a short walk from our place in the Bairro-Alto. So, we decided to go for lunch and see what all the fuss was about!
Read moreThe place was already packed when we got there, but the inside had a cool, sophisticated vibe. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Of course, all that sightseeing had made us thirsty, so we started with a couple of super cold Super Bocks.
For our main course, we shared an appetizer of bread and pâtés. Oh my gosh, the spreads were amazing! There were three different ones: Basil Tofu, Olives-Walnut, and Peanut Butter-Apple. All of them were delicious, but the Basil Tofu was my favorite. It was so refreshing and smooth, and it was unlike anything I’d ever tasted before — not made out of tofu, anyway.
Organi Chiado has two different specials that change (I believe) every day, and on our first visit, we both couldn’t resist the Braised Tofu (served with lime rice, a side salad, and tempura veggie crisp). It was incredible! Hands down, the best food we’d had up to that point. And the prices were surprisingly reasonable, considering how fancy the place was.
We left feeling totally satisfied and made a mental note to come back to Chiado Organi soon. But guess what? The very next day, we went to another vegan restaurant that was a total disaster. We were so hungry and disappointed that we ran straight back to Organi to save the day! (This time around, again, we shared a larger order of the bread and pâtés; I did cheesy penne pasta; Jay the lasagna. And, too, we shared a pecan pie with house-made ice cream. O.M.G…!!!) And not only did it save us, but we also got to catch up with our friend from the day before, which was really nice.
Simply awesome!!!
Pros: Food!!!, Service!!!, Anbiance!!!
Cons: Loved it ALL…!!!

Tasty, vegan, friendly staff - Edit
I had the risotto, which was very tasty and creamy, I loved it! A big glass of good red wine, just the house wine was delicious. I had the rice desert after the risotto which was also super tasty. Very special tastes, not standard. Staff was super friendly. Atmosphere is not my style, in my opinion it could be more cozy. But there is also a possibility to sit outside on their terrace. Good price; meal, desert and wine for 21 euros.

Enjoyable dinner - Edit
Lovely, quiet spot for dinner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried a variety of things on the menu. The pates were excellent as a starter. For the main course the Portugal Bean Stew was our favorite. We also tried the spaghetti with cashew/tomato sauce which was delightful. The seitan wrap was good if you like seitan. The veggie burger was also good but not our favorite. The rice pudding was excellent as was the chocolate cake. Great place and worth going.

Really nice - Edit
The menu was small but it was enough. We asked for a small portion, but they couldn't give it so we took it back to our hotel. We had a ceaser salad with tofu and as starter we had some bread with spreads.

Absolute perfection - Edit
We visited Organi Chiado yesterday for a late lunch. What a find. The Thai Tofu was the best we have ever eaten. And the No Cheesecake was off the scale in deliciousness. The service was excellent with super friendly and attentive staff. If our stay were longer than three days we would be back again without a doubt. Thank you.

Good choice - Edit
Really stylish restaurant and friendly stuff. My friend had the cesar salad. I had the quinoa salad. It was good, maybe a bit more spices can be added to this. Instead of the Cappuccino I would recommend an espresso. All the dishes which came out from the kitchen looked amazing. So hard to choose here.

Average food - Edit
The food was ok, but not outstanding. The interior is a little cold and a bit too bright for my taste. Starters and dessert were good, however the main courses were a bit bland.

The devils Seitan - Edit
A fantastic and balanced meal. Aside from the food the staff were absolutely brilliant and shared recipes and advice.
Read moreWe shared the bread and smoked cheese which was a delicious way to start.
The mains were good portions of penne pasta and the brilliant seitan, possibly the best I have ever tasted and accompanied with a light white rice and a really tasty salad.
We had a huge chocolate cake and pecan pie which were very good, the pie was a bit bitter but still worth it.
We had a bottle of wine too that was really fresh.
The meal came to €59.
Overall excellent and highly recommend #Veganuary

Very delicious, and great outdoor seating - Edit
We had a lovely lunch at Organi Chiado, with fantastic service, on an outdoor terrace, with great food and for a good price! My favourite was the broccoli soup (of the day), but everything we tried was very tasty. I’d definitely come back to try some more of their dishes!

Absolutely loved the food here! We had the lasagna, penne, and vegan cheese with bread for our appetizer. My favorite part was definitely the vegan cheese - it was incredibly flavorful and a big block so very good value. Everything was very fresh and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

All-around satifying and tasty dishes. As a starter we had the patees with homemade bread. All three kinds were great! For the main, we had the spirit tofu and penne rigate. Especially the tofu dish was exceptional, never had anything quite like that! Recommended.

Satisfied - Edit
Came here for dinner with 2 friends and ate well. However I wish there were a few more options on the menu, and the seating is very tight. There’s less than a foot between tables which was uncomfortable, and the lighting a little harsh. The food was good though! I had the penne regate and I was pleased.

Turquoise and Tasty - Edit
I went here for dinner with a friend. All the tables outdoors on the stairs were taken but we were lucky enough to get a table indoors.
Read moreThe interior design was a mix of turquoise and beige. This includes the lamps, the walls, the chairs and the table cloths. The floor was made of clinker tiles and the ceiling was extremely high, perhaps 5-6 meters. The atmosphere was slightly fancy rather than cozy. I liked it.
The menu is online only and can be found here: bit.ly/organichiado. As a starter my friend and I shared the vegan pates (3,25€), which was three vegan spreads with bread. As my main I had the vegan caesar salad (11,90€). Everything was delicious. The service was impeccable as well.
I had a really nice time at Organi Chiado and would love to go back.
