Great healthy brunch with a view - Edit
Stopped here for brunch and was very happy. Luckily there was just enough space left to be sat on the patio and have a beautiful view right on the river. We ordered the soy meat set which was light and tasty but not memorably so but a nice healthy refuel for the afternoon. Also had soup that was ok, could’ve been much more flavorful. Fine matcha latte and delicious tiramisu (my fav vegan tiramisu I’ve had). I do feel the location was my fav part and the food was just ok overall which is why I knocked a star off.

Small place with lovely views of the river. The menu is simple and the food could be better. Soy meat pieces were deep fried in oil but too much was left on them making it very oily and heavy on the stomach - had better in different places. Staff wasn't particularly friendly.

The food at Optimus Cafe was so refreshing and delicious. We ended up eating here twice during our stay in Osaka. They have great breakfast and lunch style dishes, including Buddha Bowls and other menu offerings that were more of a “fusion” style. We loved the fried corn fritters and all of their seitan options are excellent! Everything is so filling—portions are very fair!
Read moreThere’s limited seating so if they’re busy, you will have to wait. We had to wait both times we went but not very long. They do have outdoor seating with a lovely view of the river, but each time we went it was either raining or looked like it was going to rain so we did not get to enjoy that. All the employees are super friendly and very helpful. All of them seem to speak English really well. The dessert taste really good here also! We highly recommend it. 10 out of 10 experience!

Food was great and staff frinedly. The setting is nice however we had a rainy day so did not sit outside for views of water. They gave me a wee pumpkin cookie for Halloween!

Great food and an amazing river-view - Edit
We went here for breakfast. You order easily by qr, and the food was great. But maybe even better (not to talk the food down) was the view over the river, looking out over the city hall, basking in the sun. A great spot to start the day!

Great Vegan Spot in Osaka 🌱 - Edit
I really enjoyed eating here — they had a lot of good vegan options, and everything tasted fresh. I got the falafel wrap and fries, which were both delicious! Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Osaka!

Fabulous breakfast spot - Edit
With so few places open for breakfast we were so pleased to find this place and ate her twice. So between us both we tried almost everything on the breakfast menu. The vegan tofu and sausage breakfast was good. The homemade seitan sausage was a bit weird in texture but overall the dish worked. The French toast was AMAZING and I don’t usually eat sweet things. The avo toast was a good too, and I really enjoyed the yogurt and granola with fruit. I really you can’t go wrong here. Great staff and lovely to sit by the river.

El local es bastante chulo, luminoso y con una terraza con buenas vistas. El camarero es un hombre mayor muy amable y servicial. La tostada de aguacate y la tostada de crema de cacahuete fueron un acierto.

Their staff was a bit grumpy and chaotic though. They made me the wrong smoothie and took quite some time to remake it, and as I had wanted to drink that first, the rest of the food got quite cold. It was still delicious though.

Gorgeous spot to sit facing the river, I would go alone for the view. The food was tasty, they’d ran out of avo which was a shame but the food was decent. Not my fav but the view alone is worth going. Not the most flavourful food.

Unfortunately the food here wasn't as good as in other places in Japan. It was almost tastless and the portions were small as to the price. Also the restaurant was pretty dirty. They seem to have a great view of the river but the day we visited them, the terrace was blocked. I left the place quite disappointed.

Had a great mixed plate of breakfast. Server doesn't speak english, but ordering via website was no problem. The view is truly great and the food is really good, even creative. Portions could've been larger for my european stomach.

I came here several times for lunch or Breakfast. The place is often busy but you can get a place with a little waiting time or you kind of go to an off schedule time. I loved the food every time I went there! Staff manager (or owner?) speaks English very well. Ordering is via online Menu in English possible. The view of the outdoor deck is amazing! Definitely recommend!
