Overall I think the concept is nice and I like that this is a family run restaurant.
Read moreIn our opinion the portions (ravioli and lasagna) were a little small, but the price is reasonable so it is no huge issue.
The atmosphere could be improved a little bit, especially because there was this very strong cheesy smell, it was not terrible but still a bit uncomfortable. Another small thing that could be improved is that there could be a bit more explanation about the dishes in the menu. If you are not from the cultures of the dishes you do not know what many things are.

Highly recommend for vegan Italian cuisine!

Incredible seitan dishes. They make their seitan in-house too. We loved the Chianti seitan and the seitan in beans. Great flavors and dishes overall. Can’t believe I missed this place when I was in Florence last time.

La nostra esperienza al Nirvana è stata molto positiva . Il cibo è buonissimo e la proprietaria Janavi è stata molto gentile con noi. Prima di lasciare il locale è uscita dalla cucina la mamma Silvana che ci ha dato degli ottimi consigli su come preparare il seitan in casa. Insomma ci siamo sentiti in famiglia. Grazie.

If you always find that portion in vegan restaurants are small, you will find your happiness here. Portions are really generous. This is the type of food that makes you feel like your grandpa and grandma cooked for you. It is simple yet really good. Staffs are kind and friendly.

great to have a restaurant serving the local traditional cuisine in plant-based. the ravioli i had were fine, the vegan parmesan cheese excellent. they also served me a small basket of bread for free.

This was the best place that I dined at during my Italy trip. The staff were super kind and attentive, and the large interior was nicely decorated.
Read moreTheir all vegan menu is extensive with so many dishes to choose from. I had a delicious lasagne and yummy 'Tofu cake' that was similar to a cheesecake. They also have complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Do dine here if you get the chance! It is well worth it!

I would’ve put 1 star if this app let me. I came here and explained I have dairy and egg allergies. They said that they actually couldn’t guarantee their food didn’t have any dairy or egg because they don’t make a lot of it in house…defeats the purpose of being “vegan”! My family and I had to leave and they still charged us for the coffee and water we ordered.

The appetizer was good (Nirvana Pasta ....). As main we had Carbonara, which was good, but nothing special. And Lasagne, which only tasted like tomato sauce and the noodles have been very soft.

Venue: is average looking and will give it 3 stars.
Prices: affordable.
Food: 3-4 stars. Loved truffle carbonara which I’ll give it 4 stars. Truffle Tagliatelle was almost as good, lasagna was a bit bland, the tiramisu small and bland.
Drinks: the house white wine a bit sour. If I were them I’ll try to find a better one. Will not recommend ordering the house wine.
Pros: Excellent service, Good prices, Truffle carbonara was delicious.
Cons: Some mains and deserts were bland, House wine was sour , Could do with a decor update.

We went as this is one of the few vegan restaurants in Florence. We had the croutons which were more like crostini and good. The lasagne was ok, not as good as expected. The ravioli was nice. We also had the Chianti seitan as recommended by the waitress, which personally I didn't like. The tiramisu and cheesecake were nice. Service was good.

The truffle carbonara was fine, though it was a little bland.
While eating it, I constantly had to think, that the ones I, or my family members make are a lot better.
The "tiramisu" was an absolute joke. It had nothing to do with a tiramisu.
It lacked the taste of coffee, amaretto, cocoa and the cream was literally just plain pudding.

Salve….innanzi tutto noi non abbiamo e non usiamo salsicce nel nostro locale…. Nemmeno le simil salsicce…. Purtroppo non siamo in grado di produrre il formaggio veg….. il nostro non lo trova in commercio perché abbiamo un fornitore che lo fornisce……non è in azienda agricola e neanche un agriturismo ma bensì un ristorante a gestione familiare……… dovremmo lavorare anche di notte per produrre verdure, formaggi etc…… inoltre il nostro tiramisù non ha amaretti…. Dice cose errate….. puntualizzo dicendo che in Italia ognuno può fare il tiramisù nella versione che preferisce, non esiste una regola( caffè , fragole, cacao, cocco, ananas )….. comunque la ringrazio per aver dedicato il suo prezioso tempo per averci recensito
