Received frozen food - Edit
Ordered two large meals for my family to split. Got home and picked up the bag to see there was liquid leaking all over my car floor. Okay, no problem it happens. I go to support the bag with my hand so it doesn't fall through, and it's ice cold. I set my bag down to open it and it was boxes of packaged takeout meals that were previously frozen and half way thawed!!!!
Read moreI contacted the owner and was given a refund, but the only explanation he could give me was that he was out of town and couldn't be there to cook so he prepped his staff with pre-made food.
I have never had this happen to me before in my life, so this was quite the event. I almost didn't believe it was happening lol
Cons: Not fresh food, Not healthy food practcies, Bad service

No longer vegan - Edit
Very disappointed to hear they’re no longer fully vegan. I don’t understand it even from a business perspective - I’ve been coming here for years, and probably won’t go back now because I have other options that don’t risk cross contamination. They’re just losing their major clients. Maybe they’ll be able to make up for it by attracting more non-vegans, but they have a LOT more competition now. Honestly I think they’d be better off keeping the menu and changing the name if non-vegans were put off by the word. But I don’t know why I would go to a non-vegan restaurant when there are so many vegan restaurants around.

So disappointed in the choice to go non-vegan. I was a huge fan of their food and the value beforehand.

Transitioning to Flare Restaurant, No Longer Fully Vegan - Edit
I visited with Autumn and can confirm they're sadly no longer fully vegan and in the process of merging or transitioning to a new restaurant named Flare Restaurant.
Read moreThe Flare menu doesn't have any fully vegan entrees and Injera wasn't available the day we came in, but the employee said they just had an issue getting it in that day and it's still on the menu. He was very kind and went out of his way to make a great rice and lentil dish for us that still made the trip worth it!
Pros: Service, Rice and lentils
Cons: No longer fully vegan

No Longer a Vegan Restaurant - Edit
No longer a vegan restaurant. They are merging with Flame that have a lot of nonvegan options. Still have a few options, but not labeled. The chef was very friendly and helpful though. He still was able to whip up a nice lentil and rice dish.

Everyone’s telling the truth, what a great spot! Not busy at all on a Friday at lunch, which I’m guessing is due to the location, but the garden special for 2 was incredible. So much food, all of it fresh and delicious

Awesome vegan Ethiopian food - Edit
Super chill place serving delicious vegan Ethiopian food. I had the Half Garden Plate which gets you 5 of their hot stews and 2 portions of injera. I chose the beet vegetable medley, okra and red lentils, mushroom, yellow split peas and curry vegetable medley.
Read moreEverything was delicious, with the curry and okra ending up my favourites. The portions are very generous so be sure to come with an appetite.
Siyum the owner told me he's been at this location for 5 years after previously operating out of a smaller space in the OSU campus. Y'all, he moved to have more room and parking for his customers. I think you know what to do. Run over there and show some love, NOW.
Pros: Delicious food , Generous portions at good prices, Friendly owndeen

Amazing Experience 💚 - Edit
This place was so amazing in so many ways. Nice quiet ambience with some calm music. The food was so delicious We have had Ethiopian food before but coming here definitely blew it out of the park. So great, the Sambusas and we got the Bahlawi (Traditional) Platter - Special for 3. I wouldn't have eaten so much but the food was so damn good that we couldnt resist but to take our time and eat everything on our plate. My wife and I enjoyed the drawing on the table cover, we must never let go of the child like wonder within us. I'd also like to mention my wife and I went to sit down and eat at around 7:20pm and they said they closed at 8pm we sat and enjoy and we looked at the time it was 8:30pm and the gentleman told us to take our time and eat. We left around 8:50pm and another costomer came in looking to eat aswell and the gentlemen had no problem In serving the lady aswell. What a great place! Hospitality on a 1000% and Food quality and taste 1000% Thank you Guys so much for making the night wonderful for my wife and I. It was all great. MAY THE BLESSINGS BE.

Fabulous food - Edit
I love ordering from Nile Vegan. The portions are great and the food is tasty. There is a great assortment of dishes. I usually order extra injera when I get it for delivery. They package the food with some of the injera at the bottom, so I find an extra portion to be helpful for eating the meal. Plus it's tasty!

I never enjoyed Ethiopian food till now. - Edit
I got the curry vegetable stew and it was delightful. Since it my first time having Ethiopian food in a restaurant, the chef gave me two samples of other stews they have. Red Lentil and Stewed Kale the red lentil was a tad too spicy for me and I love spicy food. The Stewed Kale was incredible

Must try. - Edit
I ordered the garden platter which consisted of all ten of their stews as well as injera. It was the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. I really loved how the spices augmented the full flavors of the vegetables whiteout covering it. Injera was really tart in a good way. Portion was huge and good value. They did not skimp on the injera, there was plenty finish.

Ethiopian food - Edit
I love that the menu is simple and you can get a full platter that allows you to try all of the stew options. The garden plate (with 10 hot strews) says it serves two, but it was so much food that we could not eat it all! A unique experience eating with your hands. Injera is also very unique - I don't personally love the flavor of it, but the stews were all good #Veganuary

Delicious injera and curries - Edit
I don't eat Ethiopian food all that often, but Nile Vegan had so many good reviews here and on Google maps, that I thought I'd give it a try.
Read moreThe meal for 2 people comes with 2 types of perfectly spongy injera and the stews on top were flavorful and varied (I particularly liked the mushroom one and spicy tofu). The platter is more than enough and you'll probably have some leftovers.
The restaurant itself is pretty nondescript but the chef/server (only one guy was working) is friendly and there are crayons for you to color with on the paper tablecloth.

So flavorful and filling - Edit
I'd never had Ethiopian food before coming here, and I'm so glad my two travel partners suggested it! We got the traditional plate which noted that it served three and it was truly the perfect portion for all of us. We scraped the plate clean!
Read moreSo many diverse and ranging flavors in all of the different offerings, we all couldn't get enough. And we all found which ones we preferred which made sharing a breeze.
It's a small, but airy space, and service is kind and genuine. The menu is simple and straightforward, though if you don't have knowledge of Ethiopian food you might have to ask for explanations or just Google it while you're sitting there. Honestly though you could close your eyes and point to something on the menu and you won't be disappointed! So glad we chose to go here.
Pros: DELICIOUS , Perfectly portioned , Diverse
Cons: Could use some more descriptions on the menu
