Delicious Sudanese food - Edit
I had the vegan teller, which had a bit of everything. It was so tasty! A great mix of flavours and good quality food, I’ll definitely be back.

Better than Kebabs - Edit
I have been a fan of Nil for quite some time. I usually go with Tofu Madgaskar Sandwich. It is way better than most Kebab shops in the area as they have vegan peanut sauce and of course Tofu. It is very reasonable priced and always good for quick bite. I would love if they had a spicy sauce too, but maybe that‘s for the future.

Peanut Sauce! - Edit
I love everything with peanut sauce. This is more like a quick sandwich for to go, nothing fancy about it. Also nice that they have other things besides falafel. The fried items on the menu however are kind of dry.

Another option to Falafel - Edit
When I lived in this Kiez I often went to nil because the prices are affordable and the peanut sauce is really delicious. But I’ll give you a tip: a bit more further at Wühlischstraße is Marafina which basically offers the same Sudanesian food but has more place to sit and tastes better 😉

One satisfied customer - Edit
I visited here just the once during my recent trip to Berlin and ordered the tofu Madagascar for just €4. The pita was crispy, the tofu was perfectly cooked, the salad was lovely and the peanut sauce was delicious. I would definitely go again.

Not so exiting - Edit
Very cheap fast food joint with pretty many tofu/vegetable options. I only tried the pita with tofu Madagascar. It was decent, but a little bland. The tofu was pretty tasteless and semi-raw in texture and I wasn't as excited about their peanut sauce as many other reviewers are in here. I just thought the sauce was a little bit watery/runny and needed a little more flavouring... But the portion was large, it was cheap, and it was ok all in all.

Yum! - Edit
Simply some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten! Love this place! Fresh, flavourful, friendly and cheap - what more could I ask for? They serve Sudanese fare and a style of falafel called Tamil. Owned and lovingly cooked by Sudanese immigrants. I go here whenever I can!

You gotta try this! - Edit
Although the one in Grünbergerstr is good, I prefer the one in Boxhagenerstr. People working there are very very kind. You can custom almost all of the dishes, if desired.
Read moreThe atmosphere is great thanks to their non-stop quality reggae.
Especially good the vegan teller, where you can try a big variety of things, everything delicious. Outstanding the soups, falafel and the lentil rolls.
Ridiculously cheap (For 5/6€ you'll be full!) Almost everything is vegan or can be cooked vegan.
Pros: Tasty food, Extremely kind service, Reggae, price
Cons: Just two little biscuits as dessert

Very tasty and inexpensive. - Edit
A good place, definitely recommended, even if you need to go out of your way a bit. They have vegan, vege, and non-vegetarian options. So yes, your fish and meat eating friends can be satisfied. I've been twice, had a the Tofu Madagascar and the Vegan Platter. Both were quite yummy, and 3 + 4.5 euros respectively. There are only 4, 2 person tables inside and one long picnic table outside. The music is good. And the vibe is good. It's more like a falafel place, but seems much healthier. It's not organic however. The food is rather unique, kind of a cross between mexican and greek!

Had the tamiya (Sudanese falafel). Tasty, if slightly dry and the peanut sauce is diffeent, if fairly messy to eat. Would return and try something else. Very cheap. (Friedrichshain).
