Very good falafel for a very good price. - Edit
Very good falafel wrap, with a perfect amount of sauce (so it's not dry but also not too soggy).
Read moreThe potatoes were okay, but soggy, not what we were expecting. They are like ones I can make In an air fryer.
The prices are very good, for the wrap and the potatoes we paid only 40zł.

Fair prices, big portions, tasty falafel - Edit
I am positively surprised by the quality of food here. I had Arabic Falafel and cardamon tea for only 32 zł - and not only the portion was big enough for me to feel full, but the falafel was really good too. The service was really fast, and the staff is helpful and friendly. If you're looking for not-overpriced vegan middle-eastern food in the centre of Warsaw - I really recommend giving it a try😄I will be coming back for sure!

A disappointing end after years of loyalty - Edit
Since 2020, I’ve been a loyal customer of Niedaleko Damasku. I kept returning for the rich flavors of Syrian cuisine, the accessible prices, and because the restaurant was advertised as vegan, a crucial point for me, as I’m following a vegan diet from decades.
Read moreOver time, the owner appeared warm and welcoming, even saying a few words in my native Italian. I believed there was a genuine sense of friendliness. But recent events revealed that this friendliness was merely performative. What I mistook for hospitality was, in truth, a calculated strategy to build profit.
The first warning sign came months ago when I discovered the restaurant was serving ayran made from cow’s milk. I pointed this out, expecting concern or correction. Instead, the owner dismissively replied, “People like it, so I keep it.” No concern for vegan customers, or those with lactose intolerance or allergies. Given that vegan versions of ayran made from cashews or soy exist, it’s reasonable to assume a “vegan” restaurant would avoid dairy entirely. Someone could unknowingly consume it, risking severe reactions, even anaphylactic shock, due to this lack of transparency.
Still, I gave the place another chance, and i continued to go in the restaurant several more times. That decision led to the final disappointment. After finishing our meal (we weren’t seated for more than 15 minutes), I briefly stepped into the restroom. Upon returning, I found our table already cleared, my phone, keys, and belongings moved without consent, and the table reset for other guests, who looked just as awkward about the situation.
It became painfully clear that we had been pushed out to make space for new customers, with no explanation or courtesy. No warmth, no patience, just the cold logic of profit.
This final episode shattered the illusion. The years of “friendly” interactions were just part of the act. Behind the smiles lies a business uninterested in principles or respect, be it ethical, personal, or dietary.
With false vegan advertising, lack of transparency, and a deep disregard for customer dignity, I can no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone.
There are many Middle Eastern spots that serve delicious food with integrity. Sadly, Niedleko Damasku is no longer one of them.

Terrible experience - Edit
I used to admire this place because of its delicious food and was a regular visitor to the restaurant. However, I was very disappointed after my last visit. We had finished our meal and were about to leave when the owner arrived and asked if we were done. It was peak hours for the restaurant, but does that mean they should literally ask people to leave?
Read moreWe went to wash our hands and came back to find that our belongings had been moved elsewhere. The table was already set up for another group waiting in the queue. We were already leaving after finishing our meal, so was it really necessary to remove our belongings just to accommodate more people? The owner seemed in a hurry to clean tables for other guests, which gave me the impression that you can't eat in peace because you're expected to leave the very moment you finish.
Another thing I didn’t like about this place was the exploitation of a child, probably 7 or 8 years old. She was going from table to table, asking if customers needed anything, and clearing dishes.
I am never going to this place again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Lovely, cheap, but nearly vegan! - Edit
The food here was really good - the different dips are phenomenal and falafel really flavourful. Service was quick too.
Read moreOnly nonvegan item seemed to be a kefir-ish drink. It would be great to see them make the final step and make the establishment 100% vegan!

Delicious falafel, big portions - Edit
The falafel is really great: fresh and with perfect texture (crispy and not too dry). French fries are great too and the portions are huge. I was thankful for the owner who warned us from ordering two portions for two - we barely managed to eat one (in addition to falafel plates that we ordered as main dishes). Beware: this place is very centrally placed, close to the business center and central railway station, but somewhat hidden between buildings.

Honestly the falafels were the best I've ever had (and I'll come back just for them) but the potatoes weren't anything special.

Yummy falafel - Edit
Very nice staff. I had a chat with the owner and he suggested me a falafel plate. And I got a lot of food. The falafel was so good and the dips and the salad. There was even a sarma included. It was quite busy and popular spot. Many people coming for lunch. Inside it looked cute. Nice toilets. Outside some nice seats too.
Read moreThey serve ayran. So in my opinion this place is not totally vegan. I asked the owner and he said many people want and order ayran and there is no vegan option for it. The food is all vegan tho. The wrap I had was also very good with eggplant. Fast service and cheap.

Large portions / Tasty eats - Edit
I ordered a combination falafel plate and cinnamon tea at this classy little restaurant. The food is what you would expect from a Lebanese/Middle Easter restaurant. There was nothing overly exciting, but the food is tasty and the portions are large. Love the cosy interior.

At its best! Not only is it tasty and cheap, but also portions are big. I asked for something small like a snack, eggplant salad came and it was enough for 2 people 🙈

Well-priced Middle-Eastern plates - Edit
Zestaw ekskluzywny offers a nice selection of different dips, falafel, dolma and pita. The tabuleh salad was nice as well, but the spiced potatoes weren't crunchy as I hoped they would be but soft and not properly baked. The falafel was luke warm. Overall good experience but wouldn't order the potatoes again.

Inexpensive eatery with great food and staff - Edit
I’ve had eggplant Fatah and the Damascus plate (4 pieces of falafel, dolma, hummus, fresh salad and toppings) and both were excellent. It is a simple place but the owner made an effort to decorate it with Syrian tissues, paintings and instruments. Very nice staff, quick service.
