Mediocre food, ok service - Edit
There is not a lot of love an attention put into these dishes. The acai bowl was bland and the granola tough to chew. It's also pretty expensive. A coffee with vegan milk costs 3,2 EUR.

Breakfast at Lisboa - Edit
Very healthy breakfast. Had 3 dishes (2 vegan, 1 vegetarian for my husband). The Açaí bowl has honey in it, so if you don’t eat it, it’s not for you (not vegan than). The Pancakes were very nice!

Over an hour waiting! - Edit
We waited more than one hour until the food came and they switched the vegan pancakes with the normal ones. Employees were confused all the time. Food was very good but we are not loosing so much time again!

Brunch is served, and then some ❤️ - Edit
We queued for over an hour on a Thursday morning but this place was so good! Not only a nice and fancy brunch place but plenty of veggie options where you could taste the freshness. Vegan-wise we got the vegan pancake which was gorge and cinnamon-y 🥰 avo toast with beet hummus and the açaí bowl 💜 despite the long wait, we would go again!

Worst Lissabon experience - Edit
Went there on a Monday morning for the opening hour cause we‘ve seen the queue of people waiting for a table the day before.
Read moreActually a Hipster - Instagram - Selfie etc. restaurant but we wanted to give it a try.
Got one of the last tables, didn’t feel too comfortable but ordered vegan pancakes, juice & coffee, my husband a Brunch Variation of coffee, juice, pancakes, yoghurt & toast.
Waited for our drinks for about 20 min, staff seemed a bit stressed. Two more people were seated on our table at that time (totally fine) taking selfies and so on and ordered (also pancakes & a french toast).
Yoghurt & toast came 10 min later, waited all together like 45 min for our pancakes when people on our table got their pancakes & french toast already.
Asked the waitress to cancel our pancakes & get us the bill.
They wanted us to pay full price of the Brunch variation though we didn‘t get the pancakes and make them a take away.
Waitress who took care of us before didn’t look at us anymore after cancelling pancakes and not wanting to take them with us and made someone who seemed to be new take care of us - really cute girl who said sorry a million times and gave us 30% discount (only reason for 1 star is that cute waitress).
If you like things like that, should be fine.
Definitely no place for a quiet, chilled breakfast or dinner at all...
Pros: Vegan pancakes
Cons: Unreliable & stressed staff, Hipster place , Long queue & waiting

Not TOO vegan friendly - Edit
I went there because of two reasons - to try the veggie burger and the pancake. Well the waitress (who was not the friendliest person ever) said that the burger is NOT vegan, since there's milk in the bread. Had the vegan bowl instead, which was good overall. The pancake was amazing though, I have to admit. Healthy-ish, super filling, and with fresh fruit on top. I'll most likely come back just for that.

Endedup not eating there - Edit
Since they make you wait outside in january, though they have seatsat the window where you can easily wait for a table. Second I was alone, so I could have been seated at those bar seats at the window... Plus the lady was super uncooperative....

A lot of vegan options! - Edit
Vegan yoghurt bowl, pancakes, toasts and burgers. Big portions. Brunch menu for 15€ where you get a vegan pancake, yoghurt bowl with homemade granola, avo toast and coffee. Still full after 6 hours. Would definitely recommend! However the cafe was very busy and we had to wait for quite some time to get a table. Probably good to book in advance.

So good! Just go. - Edit
We loved eating at Nicolau. There was a long wait but the hostess let us go for a walk / come back. There’s many shops, street performers, etc near by so was easy to kill 30 mins. They have a lovely outdoor patio (and tons of indoor seating as well). Very hip/trendy vibe. Not a lot of vegan options but what they had was excellent! We had the vegan pancake, banana/peanut butter toast (sans honey), veggie burger, and the hummus / avocado bowl. All were great but the pancake and bowl were amazing. The veggie burger is a bit dry since as a vegan you have to skip the chutney/mayo it comes with (ask for hot sauce to substitute!). THEY HAVE ICED COFFEE.

Great place - Edit
We actually tried to come for lunch and there was a long wait, so we came back for dinner at 19:30 and there were plenty of tables (note that the kitchen closes at 20:30, but it’s a good option if you hate waiting but want to try this popular place..!!) I had the porridge and avocado toast - everything was so delicious and not too expensive, the toasts were the best deal -€3.70 for thick slices with avocado and they also had one with peanut butter and banana! There were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options on the menu :)

delicious and healthy! - Edit
So glad to find something vegan and healthy! Everything we had was delicious. It was very busy, we had wait for a table and most of the staff were pretty rude apart from one who was lovely. If the staff were nicer this would have been a 5 star review. Portions on the smaller side too so order extra if you are super hungry, but love the food :)

Fluffy, delicious vegan pancakes - Edit
The waiting list for brunch here is long. Nicolau is always buzzing with people, tables full and staff running around. Even if slightly messy at times, this place is definitely worth a visit if you are in Lisbon,
Read moreThey offer many vegan food on their menu. However If I come back here, I will drink tea or a juice, rather than the poorly made latte that I had here. Both the turmeric latte and matcha latte are not worth the euros.
Cons: Coffee and coffee alternatives - not good
