Excellent Thai food on a late Sunday night - Edit
Driving from Georgia to NYC we looked to Happy Cow to direct us to where we could find good vegan options in the area after 8pm before we stopped for the night. We chose Thai (although the Chinese food option looked good too) and we're very delighted by what we found with Napa Thai.
Read moreThere's a sign outside the door that said it's a woman owned business (we love that!) and the restaurant was surprisingly bustling for a late-ish Sunday night (the staff commented it had been quiet until they got slammed at 6:30pm.) We placed our order for takeaway on the phone around 8:15pm (we tried online but they stopped taking orders, they close at 9pm.) and the person taking our order understood immediately we needed our food to be prepared vegan, no confusion, no questions, which was reassuring.
The vibes of the restaurant are fun (saw the security cameras everywhere but it definitely doesn't feel like a prison), the atmosphere is warm, with a mix of old school Thai decor and kitsch, music was playing quietly and the staff was busy but incredibly friendly.
We ordered to go, the pad thai with tofu and panang curry with tofu both made vegan and both were yummy. The Pad Thai, we thought could have used a bit more flavor (maybe we'd request slightly spicy next time) but the Panang was perfection.
Would definitely recommend and come back next time we're through the area.
Pros: Yummy vegan options, Friendly service, Open late for a Sunday
Cons: Would be good if menu mentioned vegan options, No mock alternative proteins, Vegan Pad Thai a tad bland

I mean the ambiance is kinda like dining in a nice prison mess hall lol I've never seen a dining room with so many surveillance cams and it's at the end of a dark hallway w no natural light BUT staff is awesome and they understand what vegan means. Food is delicious!

While the menu doesn’t highlight whats vegan, the staff was very knowledgeable about what can and can’t be made vegan. A lot of things contain the tiniest bit of fish sauce so do make sure to ask!! Food was authentic and can be made spicy to taste

Stopped in for dinner and was happy with how easy and delicious the meal was! The server was very familiar with their vegan options and happily accommodated us and made suggestions. We had the seaweed salad, edamame, drunken noodle, and spicy eggplant. Great flavors, generous with the vegetables and tofu. Definitely a place to visit again!
