SO GOOD OMG - Edit
My favourite place in Oaxaca so far! They did everything like I indicated and when I went there in person had the sweetest treatment, staff is very friendly and lovely! Just one thing is that you’re sensitive to spice like I am BBQ torta can be spicy but anything else was so good! Bean chili isn’t spicy!!

Not To Be Missed! - Edit
I ate at several vegan and vegan-accommodating restaurants while in Oaxaca and Nanita was hands down my absolute favorite. They offer breakfast and lunch dishes, both of which are available all day.
Read moreEverything I ate was totally delicious. The warm and friendly owners make practically everything in-house, from cheese sauce to chorizo to sour cream to cookies to their own scratch-made hot sauce, and all of it is amazing! I’m back at home now and dreaming about their mac n’ cheese, the grilled burrito, the coconut mango cookies…

Love this place! - Edit
I went here a couple times while I was in Oaxaca. The food is AMAZING i love that they make so much in house, like their cheese sauce. Also shout out to the hot sauce they make, it's so flavorful. Not to mention how friendly the staff is. If you're in the area go!

Awesome vegan mexican food - Edit
Loves the chilaquiles. It comes with a kind of “scrambled eggs” topping and is very rich ins flavor. The spicy sauce on the side is very balanced.

Big tasty comfort food - Edit
Went here for lunch and had Mac & cheese with bean chili and a mushroom torta with a side of cheesy potatoes. It's a great mix of Mexican and American comfort food.

Customer service at Nanita was excellent. The menu is small and sophisticated. I fell for the divine chocolate cookie with strawberry jelly and the Oaxacan hot chocolate with coconut milk. The pumpkin ice cream with coconut milk and granola was also a revelation. I furthermore had their burrito for takeaway, which unfortunately was too salty.

Their cheddar “cheese” is amazing and creamy. I ordered a chocolate French toast dish the second time, and I don’t even like chocolate, it just looked so good and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

Nanita is one of the most delicious places to get healthy vegan comfort food in all of Oaxaca City. I live nearby and eat here at least twice a week. The burrito is amazing (really, everything is) and so are their strawberry kiss cookies.

We're a fanita - Edit
Debated 4 or 5 stars on this one - short menu with a preponderance of heavy dishes, and they didn't have any BBQ when we went. But the burrito and cookie were delicious and the service was great; it's the best vegan place we've been to in Oaxaca (though not very stiff competition).

On our first day at Aoxaca City my husband and I found Nanita on happy cow. We gave it a try and we were amazed by the food. Very tasty healthy and full of flavor. We went back on Monday but they were closed. We did not know they close on Mondays so we could not try other items in the menu. If you are in Oaxaca city we highly recommend checking them out.

Hi there! We really enjoyed talking with you and we were looking forward to seeing you again on Monday. Unfortunately our staff tested positive for Dengue that Sunday. We posted a sign out front and posted on social media so our guests would know why we weren’t open as well as putting our hours on Google to closed. We have been closed since then as Dengue is incredibly serious and unfortunately a lot of Oaxacans are coming down with it. Today is our first day reopening. Hope our paths cross again in the future. Take care and thank you for the review!

So grateful the entire menu is vegan! The breakfast burrito was super flavorful. The hibiscus limeade hit the spot on a hot day. And who doesn’t like hot Oaxacan chocolate cookie straight from the oven.. #DDME YES!
