An all-vegan cat cafe & pet adoption center. Situated in a peaceful garden in the heart of Oaxaca; home to many adult cats and some kittens. Serves a variety of desserts, cakes and cookies, in addition to coffee in different presentations at no extra cost for the wide variety of vegetable milks available. Offers daily changing savory options from golden tacos to pita sandwiches. Open Mon 12:00pm-8:00pm, Fri-Sun 12:00pm-8:00pm. Closed Tue-Thur.

This all vegan restaurant/cat shelter is a must especially if you love cats. We enjoyed our food in a very nice and peaceful courtyard all the while enjoying the presence of many cats. It’s another must for all vegan (and non vegan) when in Oaxaca.

Cats plus a fully plant based cafe, which simultaneously is an adoption centre, makes a beautiful equation to me! The spot is lush and lovely and the cats feel visibly relaxed and enjoy being petted. Apart from enjoying the feline company, I liked the lentil chorizo on toast with its side salad. For dessert I had the tiramisu, which isn’t my thing, but it was the only sweet option, and to my surprise I really liked it. The waiter was helpful and nice, and the owner was of course also kind - how couldn’t she be, running such an inspiring place.

We actually stumbled upon this place, saw the cats and only later realised it was a vegan cafe. We then came back for brunch the next day.

But the star of the show is the cats and the ethics of the place which rehomes and cares for these lovely animals! They have such a great calm temperament I wanted to take them all home! If you like cats you should not miss this place!

Wasn’t expecting the food to be anything special but it was! Vegan pizza had lots of delicious vegan cheese and the carrot lox bagel was perfect. All came with salad too.

Wow! So many wonderful, friendly kitties! They all seem very well, cared for and relaxed in this environment. Amazingly, there was no kitty friction among them.  we had already eaten, so we just had some of their refreshing lemonade and chocolate drinks. But the food look good at the other tables. All vegan! We stopped by two other times, but they were closed. So glad we made an effort today and found it open! Sorry we can’t adopt them all but our kitty won’t let us bring anyone else home. This was such a dream! A cat rescue that only serves vegan food? Yes please! I had gone here twice during “open hours”, but it was closed both times. Third time is a charm! I got to pet alllll the kitties. They were so friendly and cute. Oh, the food was good too! I got the carrot lox bagel, super flavorful! It came with a big salad and was a lot more food than I was expecting. I also got the pink drink. I have no idea what it was but it was so delicious. I could have spent hours here. Wait, I did spend hours here! 😻

All rescued cats and up for rehoming I believe. All cats seemed very happy and chilled out. Had their own spaces to go if they wanted to get away. All very friendly cats.

Beautiful space with lots of greenery and cats toys and of course the lovely cats. They currently have 30 cats and are at capacity. So if you know anyone who has the space fir a kitty in need of a forever home, plz tell them about this place.
Read moreOn to the food: I got the sandwich de choriqueso which was made out of lentils and came with a side salad. My Mexican friend got the ceviche de jicama and loved the fresh ingredients but said it could use some lime and chili (but also said he would order it again). A second friend got the smoothie bowl and loved it and my fourth friends ordered the oat pancakes (avena), which comes with fresh mango, whipped cream and it comes with a side of peanut butter. The combination was amazing. I loved the cold chai with coconut milk.

I’m missing my cats at home, but The Jungle of The Cats helped. A couple dozen friendly felines was exactly what I needed today. It was a huge plus to have tasty vegan food, too! I got the tostadas de suadero, chai tea with coconut milk, and the mango cake which was more like a mango cake trifle. Everything was excellent.
Read moreA gorgeous calico whose markings are very similar to my friend’s cat, Noodles, who passed away a month ago, napped while I took her picture. I told my friend I would nickname this cat Fideos. (I know they all have names selected by the humans who take care of them.) And the Siamese tripod kitty is not to be missed!
