True soy flavour with smoky vibes

Many people don't like the smoky aroma in this style of soy milk, but it is a legit style that many people favour and it's pervasive in all of this shop's dishes. Other shops produce a cleaner tasting milk.

I think another thing is the soy milk in North American tastes nothing like fresh soy milk, so if that's what you're used to then this may not be the place for you.

As for me, this is one of my favourite shops in Chinatown and I come here whenever I'm in Bangkok. I usually get the plain soy milk pudding with brown sugar เต้าฮวย ราดซอสบราวน์ชูก้า (A3) but I also love the soft serve.

As for egg, at least one dish contains egg. The menu is in Thai and I can read it, so I am confident in confirming this.

Pros: Actually tastes of soy, Smoky slightly burnt flavour profile

Savory soft serve?

Being a devout lover of soft serve, I disregarded the reviews of the unusual ice cream. I was so elated to find soy milk soft serve that I placed my order.

The ice cream wasn't bad; it was more of an acquired taste. It was not sweet and had kind of a smoky flavor. I wouldn't order it again.

I would however be interested to go back and try some of their other dishes. They had some savory tofu dishes that looked really fun and novel.

delicious asian desserts

i love this place! please note that the menu is in full thai, but everything is made with soy milk, and there’s no egg on the menu (from what i understand). i love that theyre open most of the time and easily accessible through grab. this time i got the matcha soy milk with red beans and matcha rice balls! it’s sweet but not too much, and a good experience if you’re curious about asian sweets.

Pros: open most of the day (even late night) , soy milk based and no egg, sweet but not too sweet

Cons: menu all in thai (use app or pick randomly!)

Okay, but non the best

Maybe because I am used to European ice cream flavor taste, I didn't enjoy the products so much but they were okay in the end

Not great

I hate giving bad reviews but the soy ice cream had an awful aftertaste and the tofu pudding was very ashy tasting. They are very knowledgeable about vegan options. There is a doughnut place out front that’s delicious but be aware the green sauce isn’t vegan.

Wouldn’t recommend

Went based on the review on Happy Cow but the menu wasn’t marked with any vegan options and I had to guess. It looked mostly soy-based, but they definitely used egg in some products, so I guessed the vegan items. They didn’t understand ‘vegan’ or ‘kin jay’ (a phrase for vegetarian in Thai).

What I ordered was a tofu jelly dish and Thai doughnuts (Pa Tong Ko) which are usually made with vegan ingredients so I guessed they were safe. The doughnuts were okay, I really didn’t like the tofu dish but that might be down to my taste. I wouldn’t want to return here.

A great spot for a break in China town

This is a Chinese style tofu dessert place. I chose a tofu option with red beans and really liked it. I’ll definitely be back.

I had a look through the menu and couldn’t see anything that wouldn’t be vegan. I didn’t ask to confirm though.
