Great Authentic South Indian Food Near the Louvre

The food was wonderful and the service was also great. Although older reviews suggested otherwise, it seemed that everything was clearly labeled with respect to lacto-vegetarian, vegan, Jain, etc. and we saw no problems with the labeling matching the food. We all got some kind of dosa. The mild diners felt some of the food was on the spicy side, but I felt the opposite. Nothing I tried was very spicy. The spiciness isn't labeled so we had to ask.
The ginger lemon drink is great if you like fresh ginger.
Gluten free was clearly labeled on the menu, but not much on the menu fit this category, which was surprising for a south Indian restaurant. (I thought dosas were usually made with lentil flour, but these were semolina?) The curries are mostly gluten free.
For whatever reason this restaurant did not show up on our HappyCow map, and we found it on Google Maps. I was notified of this HappyCow listing only when suggesting it as a new listing. The restaurant was named Arya Bhavan when we visited and saw it on Google Maps.

Not recommended

We were in a hurry, so we ordered just some samosas and cauliflower pakora, thinking we would be in and out in half an hour or so.
The samosas were good, but it's just the same kind jou buy in a supermarket, I doubt they were made fresh and after a long wait it turned out that they had forgotten or cauliflower pakora.
The place has a nice atmosphere and service is quick if they haven't forgotten your order.
Also as stated in other reviews, watch out with the menu, lots of non-vegan things are indicated as vegan

Good but watch out

Menu is "clearly labelled" on site as well now like it is on the website.
But watch out, some obviously non-vegan dishes are incorrectly labelled as vegan, like paneer or butter dishes.
The waiter confirmed that these are indeed non-vegan, but told us that the dal makhani and vegetable samosa are.
So make sure to ask if something is actually vegan before ordering.
The food itself was really good and the price was okay.

Pros: Good food, Fair price

Cons: Incorrectly labelled vegan options

Real Indian food

The thali (sappadu) is ok but expensive. The menu is short but with pure vegetarian Indian food.
