Wow! Probably the best vegan food I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. I don’t say that lightly. This restaurant team is so skilled I requested their names: Chef Som, and restaurant team Kha ,Kham and Ya. DO NOT MISS THIS treat if you’re in Chiang Mai, and don’t miss the Massaman, and vegan Basil Pork dish. I could eat them 100 times over! THANK YOU Moreganic.

Beautiful little restaurant apart of the vegan hotel Away. Had the buffet breakfast in the morning which was free and then ate for dinner some nights. Food is excellent. Very fresh and beautiful looking. Highly recommended staying here! Great location as your a 5-10 min walk from a load other vegan restaurants in the area!

This place has really good reviews for a place I wouldn’t rush to come back to.
Read moreI got mushroom tacos and the shell was hard and I felt it overall lacked flavor.
I also got the omelet over rice which not good either.
I ordered watermelon juice and they gave me beet juice lol.
The waitress was not super nice and looked very bothered every time I wanted to add something to my order . Even though I tried to smile and be nice.
Then on top of that all they charge a 10% service fee and 7% VAT fee, which to me money is no big deal if the service and food is really good.
I dined in for dinner
Maybe they are not so nice because the service fee is included in the price
They are all vegan which I appreciate which is why I don’t want to give 1 star but please do better.

This is the first time I’ve ever found a hotel through happy cow, and 100/10 would recommend!
Read moreThis is truly an incredible resort! The staff are so lovely, kind, and helpful! We worked with Mam, Ya, Kwan, Cat, Chef Aoi, Namhom, and the FB team, and they were truly the best.
I have severe gluten intolerance, and they made me custom food every day for breakfast that was top quality! They have a fully separate gluten free menu. When my friend and I did a cooking class, they made everything fully gluten free. (Fully recommend the cooking class— you won’t regret learning how to make the classics.)
If you’re looking for a luxurious stay right near the old city of Chiang Mai, love top quality vegan food (the whole resort is strictly vegan!), and some of the best hotel staff you’re ever going to meet, run and do not walk to Away Chiang Mai!

Some of the best food I’ve had in Thailand! I can’t recommend this resort and the restaurant more highly. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet and dinner menu were both outstanding. I especially recommend the chickpea omelette.

We ordered the Tom Yum mixed shrimp & Mushroom combo and the Khao Mok Gai with Mango Sticky Rice and their Strawberry Cashew Cheesecake. These tasted so good! We want to come back for more during our stay!

We loved this restaurant for dinner. Our first dinner experience was amazing—the food was incredibly flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish.
Read moreHowever, when we ordered room service from the restaurant on the next two nights, the food was much too salty and didn't taste nearly as good as our first meal. After that, we decided to skip the entrees and just stopped by for smoothies and desserts instead, which were still enjoyable.
For breakfast, they have a lot of vegan items, but some items are hit and miss. It becomes boring and repetitive after having similar breakfast for days. Most days we opted out and went out for a vegan brunch.

2nd visit: early in the morning in person just to try their vegan Tiramisu! I was greeted with very friendly staff and served quickly. A much more pleasant experience of course. Had a vegan Tiramisu and a refreshing buttery pea tea with pandan drink - more delightful than I expected! 😋

I had the breakfast buffet (345 baht), and I love that they have it. It’s not common to find a fully vegan breakfast buffet and they had plenty of options. But I didn’t actually like it. The coffee was not very good (just from a machine, typical for breakfast buffet). I am a bread person and love eating a lot of bread and dough products, but everything was underwhelming. The croissants, cinnamon bun and waffle were all quite dry. The toppings are butter, peanut butter and some jams. The toppings were good.
Read moreThere are also Thai dishes, which I didn’t try because I don’t like it for breakfast. They have some yoghurt/oatmeal options. They were okay. You can make your own salad and they have loads of fresh ingredients.
My favourites were the potato salad and the mushroom bruschetta. They were good, but not outstanding.
While it’s nice to try such a big variety of vegan foods, the quality is significantly lower than other places in Chiang Mai. The proces is quite high, although for the variety it makes sense. I’m glad to have tried it but wouldn’t eat there again.
There are also some reviews about ‘non-vegan mistakes’ here, while this is the place in Chiang Mai that screams loudest online about how vegan it is. I wanted to love this place but was a bit disappointed.

We were staying in Old Town and looking for a good breakfast place. This restaurant was a really nice upscale experience. It's not often that vegans find a great buffet especially for breakfast but this was it!

My wife (Vegetarian) and I ate a late lunch here today and the food was fantastic. I had the morning glory dish and the pomelo salad. My wife had a variety of starters, and all of the dishes were delicious. The desserts were okay. I had the tiramisu and coconut ice cream. The tiramisu was frozen. The wife had a taro tart I believe and she did not like it at all. We both also had Thai Teas and they were delicious!

I am completely baffled by some of the negative reviews of this place. One reviewer mentioned there were not many vegan options for breakfast !?!??  I’m convinced they were reviewing the wrong place; made to order omelettes & scrambled eggs (vegan, of course ),  cereals, nuts, fruit, waffles, croissants, toast (With homemade passion, fruit jam—-I could have a bathed in that stuff!!!) potatoes , and, of course, a whole host of Thai dishes that most Europeans and Americans would only associate with lunch and dinner.

Every dish was so good, including the best vegan Khao Soi I’ve ever tasted, I had a little or no motivation to leave and go and search for other, very few, if any at all, purely vegan restaurants. The pièce de résistance was my incredibly fortunate timing to be at the hotel/restaurant on Christmas Eve where they provided a sumptuous Christmas dinner, free for clientele of the hotel.
Yes, this is definitely more expensive than almost any other place you might visit in Chiang Mai for completely vegan cuisine, but I was so impressed with the food, the service, and the ambience, that it was well worth the cost. You would be a fool, not to try this place.

Savouries included a delicious club sandwich, BBQ jackfruit wrap, bruschetta. Lots of sweet treats including mini mango-sticky-rice, banana pancake rolls, lemon curd tarts, local fruits, etc. Tiny scones with kiwi fruit jam and vegan cream.
Bottomless tea.
We liked the way they'd given afternoon tea a thai twist. We felt the baked items could have been lighter and cakier!
699 baht for 2 people feels quite reasonable for this unusual experience - we were very full after the meal.
