Vegans Beware = "Plant-based" does NOT mean "vegan" - Edit
The staff don't seem to understand what vegan means. We clarified our order several times, specifically stating no ghee, yogurt, or dairy, and they confidently said "yes." We also told them we were all vegan. I ordered the plant-based butter chicken curry, but it arrived with yogurt on top. When I mentioned that we had requested no yogurt, the waiter looked confused. Then the manager came out and explained that it's NOT POSSIBLE to make this dish vegan because it contains cream and butter. It turns out "plant-based" only refers to the mock meat they use. I then ordered a different curry which she assured me would be vegan, and it was absolutely delicious. However, please be careful when ordering here if you're vegan.
Read moreAlso, the customer service was disappointing overall - the waiter forgot several of our dishes and drinks even though we were the only ones in the restaurant(!!!), and we had to approach them ourselves because they wouldn't come to us. They just stood there staring at us the entire time, but weren't friendly and seemed afraid to serve us (even though were were very patient and forgiving). Clearly, management have not trained staff properly.

I really wanted this place to be good but unfortunately it gave me food poisoning. On top of that it was really expensive and not very tasty. Maybe I ordered badly and got unlucky I don’t know but I wouldn’t want to risk it again. Only giving it 2 stars as it’s a good menu with lots of variety and options.

If you're in Bali and craving delicious, authentic Indian food, this place is a must-visit! Their vegan Butter Chicken (my favorite dish) is absolutely incredible —flavorful, creamy, and packed with spices and let me not get started on the vegan chicken mmmmhhh! The texture and taste are spot on, making it feel just like the real thing. Paired with delicious naan and rice. They have meals you won't forget.

Nice restaurant in fron of bussy market. I was happy manager was there (who did our order), cause staff doesn’t look they understand what is vegan. Menu is 100% vegetarian, many options.
