only good if you like sorbets - Edit
I like creamy ice cream, not sorbets, so wasn't wowed by Miyahara. But if you are into frozen fruity flavoured water, you will like it here. They have 6-8 sorbets that are vegan and a small assortment of toppings suitable for vegans but are very basic.
Read moreIt is worth visiting the nicely landscaped stream across the road and the Eye Factory renovated building that houses this store as it is really interesting when you go inside. And inside this place, some of their boxes of biscuits and sweets are vegan if you can google translate the list of ingredients and have the inclination to do so.
Pros: fine if you like sorbet, interesting location
Cons: no creamy ice creams

Pleasant surprise - Edit
You choose single, double or triple, pick waffle or without (waffles aren’t vegan) and choose your toppings at the end. Before ordering the staff helped me pick flavours without dairy and eggs. The second staff could not help me identify vegan toppings so I chose those that looked vegan: almonds, buckwheat and cranberries. The ice cream surprised me a lot. It’s not the typical crappy artificially flavoured ice cream you’d expect. You can really taste the natural ingredients. It had a very good, high quality flavour. Would order again.

Cons: no vegan options outside of sorbets, not every fruit flavour is vegan, no idea which toppings are vegan

Go for the building, not the ice cream - Edit
I would definitely check this place out for the ambience, but I might not wait in the long line, on a cold day, for the ice cream.
Read moreThere were about 6 non-dairy flavors to choose from, but we only really liked one (passion fruit) out of the 3 we tried (honey grapefruit - so not fully vegan - & grape). The sorbets were pricey, though you’re given as many free toppings as the number of scoops you buy. However, only a handful of toppings are vegan : dried cranberries, raisins, almond slivers, pumpkin seeds, and puffed rice. You’ll want to skip the cone if you’re vegan as they contain eggs.
Pros: Ambiance
Cons: Expensive, Too few vegan options & not all appealing

Expensive - Edit
There were a handful of vegan flavours - mango, passionfruit, kyoho grape & roselle tea. The vegan toppings were limited - pumpkin seeds, flaked almonds & cranberries. The waffle bowl is not vegan. Felt hugely overpriced compared to the non- vegan options. The ice cream was lovely - the roselle was especially tart - but pricey.

Unique sorbet flavors at iconic dessert emporium - Edit
They had 5-7 vegan sorbet flavors including traditional (ex pineapple, passion fruit) and unique fruits (ex Kyoho grape) and tea (ex. Roselle tea). They have a few vegan toppings like slivered nuts and cranberries, and you can get 2 for free.
